“NOC is a well-run company and we had a great experience with every aspect of the rafting trip, from making reservations and filling out forms online, to check-in, intro, raft trip and choosing photos and picking up keys at the end. Our introductory guide was humorous and informative, and our rafting guide very capable. We had a blast!”

“Six of us had a great time. My 14 year old daughter had fun getting wet and I think we all simply enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful ride down the river. Our guide was especially good, sharing his knowledge of the river and the surrounding mountains which made the trip even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend any looking for a guided raft ride choose NOC.”

“1st time whitewater rafting. Our guide, Shawn, was nice, funny, professional, and very knowledgeable. My family had an Awesome time and everyone was safe. The Nantahala River is just beautiful, nice, and clean. All of the staff were nice, happy, and they work as a team.”

“We didn’t plan to raft during this trip, but I’m glad we did! We took the 2:30 trip and the afternoon river was magically misty and our guide was fun and chatty. She took us over all the fun spins and rapids without anyone falling out! It was so much fun from the safety instructions to the bus ride to the falls!”

“Always a good time, whether catching shuttle for our own raft or going on a guided trip. I do feel that newer guides could use more training on a brush-up basis, we did get stuck a lot on our second trip. I also discovered raft guides make minimum wage and if customers knew this tipping would be more necessary.”

“Overall a very good experience. But we were a little disappointed in the booking/organizing of the occupants of the rafts. Initially we were a party of 8, but the day before our trip we tried to add 3 more. We were told we couldn’t. When the rafting assignments were made at NOC, one raft ended up having 8 people in it (not our group), and one raft had only 4 (half of our group). We could’ve easily added the 3 people to fill the raft that ended up having only 4. A little disappointing.”
