I've had an Ursus for a couple of years and I'm very pleased with that. I was attracted to this one for the solar power, which is it's only redeeaming feature. What I ike about it: solar power What I hate about it: 1) the wifi connection. You have to download some dodgy third party app written by god know who which for all I know contains malware 2) the app doesn't work. It connects to the camera's wifi then fails with an error message saying it can't sync the camera's data. The app is not open source (HUGE RED FLAG THERE - WHAT IS HE HIDING?) so I can't see what the problem might be. So the only way to get the images off the camera is to take the micro SD card out. 3) the tripod mount is on the back of the body which is an utterly stupid place to put it. Why can't it be on the bottom like on the Ursus? Whilst I would buy another Ursus I would not recommend this particular camera to my worse enemy. I also think it's disgusting that you don't clearly state that the user has to download a third party app which you cannot garuntee doesn't contain malware. Shame on you NatureSpy.

Hi Paula, Wow! You don't like the camera! We're happy to swap it for an Ursus or refund you. Just get in touch and we'll get that sorted. You have 30 days from delivery to do this. As you're likely aware, nearly all apps are not open source. We're working on a major, major update to the app, with more news on this later this year. Again, email us and we'll be happy to help - I can't see you've been in touch so far. Thanks!

The camera was well packaged was easy to setup, download the app and connect my phone to it. It takes great photos, very clear and evenly lit even at night. I did have to delete the connection and add the camera again when I tried next time. The battery has stayed fully charged even in shady woodland so I'm really pleased with the camera.

The time from my order to delivery by Royal Mail was less than 24 hours !! The small instruction booklet is great, and it is very simple to follow, with the information to get you started, details about the functions on the camera and App. There's no extraneous technical bumph that puts you off ! I had a few questions which I posed via the online chat (AI obviously), the answers were instantaneous, very clear and helpful This is a great trail camera, which I have no hesitation in recommending, the video and camera footage is spot on.

This is the 2nd Helarctos Solar camera i have purchased from this company The quality of the camera is solid and handles very well with easy to understand menu. Video quality is also very good at 4k, What i like mose it the solar on the top, i can leave it out for many weeks without worrying about power drop out. Already thinking of purchasing a 3rd one.

We are enjoying seeing what wildlife visits our garden. The camera is working well, the pictures wevare getting are lovely and clear. Only small criticism is that the instructions were a little unclear, so it's taken a bit of trial and error to get it working.

The camera has taken some good videos. It is early days and still getting the hang of it. I have managed to get the videos from the trail camera to my phone but it is a bit tricky. Lots of videos of pigeons in bird baths. It doesn't seem to trigger with the smaller birds as yet but I will play around with settings and siting. The solar panel seems to be charging the battery well.
