“The Naturespy company is very responsive to email, but no telephone support. Very quick delivery of new camera. I have found that the camera is hyper responsive to any vegitation moving in a breeze. In my first test I left it on for 4 days and have literally huindreds of photos and videos, but no wildlife. The Wildlife Cam App is poor - especially on iPad, where I have found it impossible to show the landscape photos of the camera in full page landscape orientation on my iPad. Therefore I only get to use 1/3 of the iPad screen. The app is designed for a smart phone in portrait orientation. Sometimes the app locks into this portrait mode - even if I turn to landscape on my iPad. I then have a photo display which is significantly less than 1/3 of the iPad screen. WiFi connection on iPad is very patchy and generally takes several attempts. This is not a defect on my iPad as I have several other devices which connect instantly. Sorting through files and downloading on the App is laborious and I have reverted to simply removing the SD card insert directly in my PC. So far as I can see the App developer has made no progress compared with software from the same ubiquitous Chinese developer from several years back.”
“I love the solar powered cameras - so much more sustainable than using any kind of battery, and don't have to fiddle around with the batteries either. The Helarctos camera works a treat - even over the winter. Images are great. The micro-SD cards a bit fiddly so be careful if you change the cards!”
“So pleased with the output quality of this camera. It is easy to set up and change settings and using the app works very well. I have had other cheaper cameras that failed reasonably quickly and the output quality was nowhere near as good as this camera. We have hedgehogs, foxes and badgers in our night garden and have captured some super images and videos without disturbing them. So pleased with this purchase. Definitely recommend.”
