“I have not gotten to use these bibs yet except for wearing them around the house, but if they are built the same way my 2014 NWT3K jacket was, they will last for years! So far, I have two complaints. The first is the color. I ordered khaki as the main color on my bibs and they look more like mustard than they do my Carhartt's. The second is the shoulder straps, but that will be an easy fix. Its just that they sit too close to the edge of my shoulders and I could see them slipping off onto my arm and causing some annoyance. (My shoulders are wide too!) I am going to sew the straps together where they cross on my back and that should hold them together a little better on my shoulders. These pants fit really well, I like the leg vents, leg gators, chest pocket, waist adjustment, and cuff reinforcement on the ankles. These are going to see 50+ days this season and I am confident in saying that nobody else will have the same bibs as me. Pretty cool!”
“Pockets, zippers, sewing have all withstood the past two seasons of resort and touring very well. Velcrow, suspenders, etc. are all holding up as well.
The fabric, however, are not what I would call a "technical" fabric. It is extremely heavy and, although I purchased the 15,000 fabric, I was disappointed when during the first season, the pants would become saturated quickly. I'm sure the response will be "our 20,000 fabric is much more durable and waterproof" but for the price, the 15,000 fabric was disappointing.
Vents should not be extra given that the fabric does not breath like an Event, gore-tex, layer will.
Overall, I wouldn't buy another pair despite the rad color options. But, now that other companies like Norrona, Trew, Dynafit, Millet, and others are stepping out of the box, there is no need for "custom" colors unless those colors are met by bad ass fabrics.
