I recently purchased a jacket and bib set from Nwt3k, both in XL. I am a 5'10" 192# man with a slight "dad bod." The pants portion of the bibs themselves is plenty roomy and I had no problems layering a couple performance layers under the bibs. The bib portion, however, is not roomie and is the same diameter as the waist - so if your love handles and belly are a little bigger than your waist, the bib will be tight and it will be a challenge to wear thick layers under it. In addition, the straps and buckles on the bibs are sewn in and if you want to disconnect them you need to remove the webbing - there is no quick release buckle on the straps, so they aren't removable without taking off your top layers too. I would recommend upgrading the shoulder strap buckles to address this (look to high-end chest waders for examples). From a construction and material perspective these are the best outerwear layers I have ever owned. I have spent many hours in the field pursuing outdoor endeavors and tried many, many brands of clothing. To get what NWt3k gets you will cost you way more money and it will not be made specifically for you. I really feel like you get your money's worth and then some with these products. The XL jacket is pretty roomy for me and allows me to layer heavily under if needed, but I think a person my size could get away with a large jacket unless you need to put a thick liner under it. I love the pocket in the sleeve for smart card lift tickets and the little details that make up for a complete shell - smooth zippers that I can grab while gloved; lots of pockets so I can stay on the hill longer; and a hood that fits over my helmet easily. All that and the colors I wanted! The bottom line is if you want to buy top of the line outerwear made in the U.S. these are your people. I find the bibs (and jacket) to be superb at blocking wind and they can get toasty if you are moving around (i.e. going uphill, skate skiing, etc.). I highly recommend a configuration with vents. All in all I highly recommend nwt3k bibs and jackets. The ordering process was smooth and personal and I received my custom products just over three weeks after ordering them in spite of it being the busiest season for outdoor winter apparel companies.

The pants are bomber. Solid construction and good waterproofing. They just may be too heavy/thick for those riding in drier climates. If I was resort skiing in the PNW only, they would be 5-stars but with any touring they are too robust.

Fit is perfect, especially with regard to length. They cover the boots perfectly. The durability of these pants and the jacket as well is palpable. Zippers are very very high quality.

Fit/Finish and Material: Very Nice and Very Happy. I am 6'4" 205 and I buy my blue jeans 34W X 36L. I bought the XXLT bibs and definitely would NOT go smaller, they fit awesome except 1 minor detail that is my fault. It seems that advertised inseam and measured inseam once the clothing is sewn together differ by 2". I found this to be the case in my jeans and these bibs. At the end of the season I plan to investigate adding 4-6" of tough material to the bottom of them for added length, if that is a success, then I will be stoked until the day I stop skiing. Ski bibs for tall people are tough to find! Until the added length, I just sag them a little. Oh, my wife thinks they look great on me just the way they are.

For the 2018-19 ski season, I got a NWT3K snow jacket and loved it. This past February 2020, I got a pair of NWT3K snow pants to replace some Flylow Chemical pants. All the pockets on the NWT3K snow pants make good sense and work real well. I wear jeans/pants with 32 inch waist and 30 inch inseam and the NWT3K snow pants size Medium fit perfect. Even with this ski season cut short by the COVID-19 virus outbreak, I was able to use them at the following British Columbia ski resorts: Red Mountain, Whitewater, and Fernie. In all sorts of variable conditions, they kept me warm and dry.
