The absolute greatest flips ever made. I did not take good care of mine but they’ve lasted 6 years and hundreds of miles through salt water, sand, jungle mud, equatorial sun…. Just about every condition known to man and are still the most comfortable flips I’ve owned! Aaaaand they look great/dress up well.

I’m Sold for Life! I’m on my 5th pair. That may sound like a lot, for one person, but I’ve been ordering them for several years, and sometimes wear them for all of my waking hours. Only one sandal, which was several years old…since this particular sandal became available on your website…gradually wore out at the toe. That was because I gave it plenty of wear and tear from my wide feet and super-active, Big Kahuna self. I got MORE than my money’s worth! The leather between the toes is more comfortable, by far, than any sandal that I have worn in more than 65 years!

My favorite sandals to date. Looks great wearing khaki pants or shorts. The leather gives in the right amount. Very satisfied customer.

I love these sandals. They are so stylish and well-made. The craftsmanship and leather quality are phenomenal. I wear these everywhere but especially when I want to dress up a little but still wear sandals.

So, you may notice as I did when considering purchasing these sandals, that folks complained by in these reviews about discomfort when first wearing these sandals. I experienced the same issue, BUT, I simply stopped wearing them for the rest of the day, or maybe a full day, and then went back to wearing them. After only a week or so, the discomfort went away and I can honestly say these sandals are top notch. The workmanship and attention to detail are impressive, so I suspect the whole thing with the initial discomfort is that people wore these too long at one time while they were brand new. And just like a brand new pair of dress shoes or boots, you do not want to wear these for 8 hours the first day you get them. The reason is because the leather is real, sturdy hand stitched layered leather and nice and thick, quality made. So wear ‘em for an hour or two a day, for the first week or two, and you’ll break them in and then you’ll LOVE ‘em. They are easily the most comfortable sandal I’ve ever owned, and their unique tread makes them suitable for wearing in all sorts of situations (no submerging in water though, per Olukai’s directions) Anyway, I bought the Mea Ola pair a few months back and have been meaning to write this review to say yes, the discomfort can be a thing, BUT it’s easy enough to overcome AND SOOO worth it. Just don’t wear them all day right when you get them. Run an errand and put them on. Wear ‘em around the house for a little bit, whatever. But once you get ‘em broken in, which doesn’t take long at all, like I said a week or two of an hour or so a day, they are the most comfortable and sturdy (not to mention gorgeous!) sandals you’ll ever own.
