“I have never been one who could feel ok wearing cheap shoes. My father taught me that each outfit begins with shoes and builds up; this has been difficult to handle when I'm going to the beach. I grew up in the Rockies and basically never went to the beach, I live in my chacos in the summer. Chacos wont work at the beach, after a few days my feet were raw from sand under my sandal straps. I had learned about Olukai from a friend's comments on twitter but had stayed away because I couldn't imagine a pair of flip flops worth $80. After a very uncomfortable walk from the house to the beach in my chacos, I went straight into the shop and bought my first pair.”
