“I wore Olukai flip flops for the arch support in size 9. I need the extra arch support in a shoe, and the Pehuea line has it.
I called Olukai customer support, who advised to go up to a 10 in a shoe (which is what I wear in a boot or gym shoe with arch support inserts). They were correct! I do wish there were half sizes. I could have gone up to a 10.5, but possibly not, as one foot may have been too loose.
I wear socks with shoes, and my only complaint is the tongue was so stiff since it's leather for water resistance, that I wore some thick socks in the shoes around the house the first day helped stretch out the leather and break in the tongue, because it did hurt. Day two was still breaking in, but I was comfortable enough to leave the house in them, with the tongue still bothering me but no longer hurting.
I wear them outside as a warm water resistant shoe. And in the house later, I prefer to slip into other slippers when I'm not going out anymore. But the heel flip down feature of Olukai, some use that as a slipper. I may use it a little but then pull up the heel to a shoe.
PS: I'm in the cold Midwest and don't like wearing boots until I have to but need a warm, water resistant shoes.”
“I was so excited when I put these on....fabulou! But the moment I walked in them the heel slips terribly. I know I have a narrow heel, but all the other OluKai I have bought (many) fit great until they stretched out after months of wear. I am so sad to return them....”
