“So far these batteries work well. However, they are rather heavy to carry around. Since they only last a couple of hours at most, I typically bring at least one or two extra ones with me and that adds a lot of weight to whatever I'm carrying already.”
Thanks for sharing. We understand your concerns regarding the battery weight; to ensure a longer heating duration, the battery does require a certain capacity and weight. Battery runtime is also influenced by the ambient temperature, and the current design strikes a balance between runtime and portability. “I love my heated vest. I use it for a warm layer under my jackets for golfing and motorcycling. It provides great warmth and the battery last several hours, expecially on the medium and low setting, which is the main settings I us. So, all was good for 2 cold weather seasons (about a year and half). Then the battery died into the second cold weather season. I know the battery has a one year warrenty, but I was hoping to get a little longer lifespan out of my battery than 2 seasons. I called Ororo and said that since it was out of warranty all they could do is give me $10 off on a new battery. The website states that you should get up to 800 charges out of your battery, I problably got maybe 30. I guess I was wishing for a better battery llifespan and better product backing. I did buy another battery for my vest... hope this battery has a better lifespan than the last one.”

I reported this and was given instructions on how to return the battery for assessment and I included additional information about the problem. Shortly after mailing, I received a message that I was to receive a new battery which arrived in a short period of time. The new battery is working fine.
