Effective and clever design, however additional mounting brackets, screws and spindles should be included to allow for more cuts to the panels where needed

I am an experienced do-it-your-self individual with a substantial home tool collection and skills. From this perspective, I would rate the Oscillot installation experience as one of my most negative. It is impossible to screw the provided paddle posts to the provided mounting backets at anything near a straight angle. Once the posts are attached to the backerts, there are no instructions for mounting the brackets to the wall protected by the Oscellot system. The instructions call for a careful hold-in-place the paddle posts (and by context the paddle backets) with paddle, mark location, remove, drill holes, and re-assemble. This process is highly error prone and will likely result in the post (or bracket) being located wrong. As I found the Oscillot component dimensions to be very repeatable, I just mounted the brackets on 49.125 inch centers. Oscillot should commit themselves to careful manufacture dimension and instruct customers to mount on 48 inch centers. Very simple. Lastly, having the typical homeowner precisely cut an aluminum paddle to length is not realistic and dangerous. I used a metal cut-off saw and securily clamped the paddle to the saw frame for a clean accurate cut. No potential danger from a four foot paddle getting away from the operator and hurting someone. By committing to careful dimension manufacture, Oscillot could pre-cut the last paddle to customer dimensions. I would recommend the Oscillot concept but be prepared for a difficult installation.
