About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. “I have only had one proper camping opportunity so far to judge our awning along with a couple of preliminary practice setup attempts to educate ourselves in preparation. So far we have found it excellent. It has good coverage area, seems to be very strong, is extremely easy and quick to set up and put away afterwards. Having said that, during the three days we used it the weather was very cooperative, and there was no serious test for the awning's ability to withstand adverse conditions but all indications so far are that we will be very pleased with it into the future.”

“Hi this awning is the best. Was out Fraser Island the month we bought it, and there must have been 100 awnings one day at Eli Creek. This one stood out as the best by far. Free standing not flapping perfect. One night even opened it up to dry after a wet day, went to bed woke up hearing the wind, the awning was perfect no problem at all. Very happy.”

“This notification to write a review made me laugh! The awning has been sitting in my shed for (so far) 53 days without being fitted as the brackets I ordered through OUTBACK EQUIPMENT have so far not arrived, despite my contacting them many times and numerous promises that they would turn up "in a couple of days". LIARS! They weren't listed as either 'sold out' or 'on backorder' on the website so I legitimately thought they'd be here in a few days. I've been camping three times since placing the order, but the rather expensive awning has been useless to me for all three trips as I've been unable to mount it to my vehicle. Never in my life have I had such poor service from any company, and I will certainly be taking any future business elsewhere. These people are NOT GOOD to deal with - happy to take your money, but exceptionally poor with communication and supply.”
