I wanted my chalet to match my house color as closely as possible, so I took a sample of the siding to Home Depot and got a color match of the Behr Primer and Paint In One. I painted everything first because I think it's easier and neater, plus I could do it all in my garage and avoid some sun and rain. Probably the hardest part was getting the foundation right. The area where I placed it slopes two ways. The ground under grade is more clay than anything else, so I maintained the original grade in my excavation, so that water percolating through would still drain away. I layered base gravel, sand and used one foot square concrete pavers. I thought all was level and even until I set the floor in place and then saw I had a low spot in the front. So, up came the floor and front row of pavers until I got it just right. Whew! As I noted in the questionnaire, I placed the shed in a corner. Since I could not get to the babck and the back left corner with everything in place, I had to assemble the back and sides out from the wall so I could nail on the back trim and corner trims. That meant lifting the three completed sections into place at once when I was through with that. Since the corner and back trims are longer than the walls, I also had to rest the walls on 2x4's to support them during construction. I used a silicone caulk at all the seams and to fill in gaps by the corner trims and roof. I also did a couple of extra things in construction. I added a piece of metal flashing to the back edge of the roof so water could not penetrate from the back. I used construction adhesive in attaching all trim pieces. I added trim over the door and behind the hinged sides to keep rain from blowing in. Instead of the small door stop, I used a long strip of cedar across the bottom to keep rain from blowing in. I finished the inside with a few pieces of Gladiator Gear Wall Panels. That meant adding a couple more 2x2's to support the ends of the panels. Overall, the project went very well. It was fun. The instructions were pretty clear. Having them available on the internet meant that I could look over them and plan the project in advance of delivery. I liked having square drive screws and the included bit. I was also pleased that your company was generous with the amount of included screws/nails. Most kits have just enough....maybe. My wife and I are very pleased and proud of the final result and the neighbors are very admiring as well.

When bike covers kept wearing out in the CO sun and snow I took to the internet to find a better solution. I did. My handyman enjoyed putting the shed together and I enjoyed staining the final product. Now my backyard is a pleasant place to enter. Things are put away and the patio looks tidy.

We ordered our Garden Chalet for looks, and were totally delighted by how easy it was to assemble. Not being the most handy of people we doubled the projected assembly time, but in the end we built it at the edge of the six hours OLT advised. Now the hardest part will be deciding on a stain colour. Thanks for building such beautiful, easy products!

A very good looking item. The quality is first rate, it was easy to assemble and it smells wonderful. I needed a small shed to hold a number of long handled tools at my cottage and your Grand Garden Chalet was just the ticket. In it's cottage location I wanted to make it insect and rodent resistant and with very little work, it is now bug and insect free as well as a real mouse frustrator. Well done!
