“I did a lot of research into different types of vacuums before deciding on the Superpro 700. We have a large home and as I wanted to stick with mains power rather than battery, I thought a backpack vacuum would make the vacuuming process a lot quicker and easier than a standard upright or barrel type. I went with Pacvac because of the glowing reviews - it seemed to be the best option on the market. I wish I could say that I agreed with the reviews I read, but honestly, I've had a mixed experience. These are my pros and cons. PROS - Suction - it's excellent and stays that way even when the compartment is over half full. - 5L volume - easily covers our entire home (4 bedrooms, 2 living areas, 2 bathrooms). - Long extension cord - only need to plug in once as it reaches everywhere. - Variety of extra attachments that you can buy. - Backpack design - much easier to use than the old barrel Hoover that we had to pull around. CONS - It's heavy. I thought 5kg would be nothing, but it's actually a solid amount of weight, particularly when vacuuming for over half an hour. - The bag straps seem more suited for a person with a larger frame. I'm a size 8/Small in clothing and can't find a "best" way to wear this vacuum. It just doesn't stay close to the body and the hip velcro sash rides up whenever I bend over. I'm constantly re-positioning the pack on my body. - Velcro sash - in an item this pricey, buckles/clips would be a better longlasting option. - It has bags - I've never had a bagged vacuum, and having now experienced it, I can say that I definitely prefer bagless. It's impossible to empty the re-usable bag into the garbage bin without getting covered in dust/dirt, even more so on windy days (we empty our vacuum into the bin outside). I could certainly use the paper bags, but I'm not a fan of creating more waste and we would go through so many of them vacuuming weekly. - The attachment holders on the belt only work with the crevice tool - the upholstery and dusting tools don't sit well in the holders and the elastic is tight, which makes it difficult to put the tools back in. - It comes with two rigid poles rather than a telescopic pole - this is another thing that I didn't realise I loved until I no longer had it. A telescopic pole is so much quicker. It's been such a hassle having to remove pole sections when moving about the house. It turns out you can buy a telescopic pole separately, but it seems very strange to me that it isn't standard with the vacuum. - It's not the best for cat hair - it works well on carpet, but neither the turbo head nor the upholstery tool are able to effectively remove hair from our material lounge. The rubber brush we have does a much better job. - Neither the standard head nor the turbo head is able to pick up fine dust/dirt on our tiles - they pick up larger items, but there's always a layer of dust/dirt left behind. I was really hopeful that this vacuum was going to tick all of the boxes. Instead, it ended up highlighting what I do and don't like in a vacuum. The search for the ideal vacuum continues.”

“I ordered this hoover , one of many as I always wondered what it was like . Things I love about it Cord length . Easy to carry on my back Price Things I think are alright about it , but not as good as my other Hoover’s I have Suction Although it picks up I don’t think it has the best suction out of my other Hoover’s I have but for the price a decent enough hoover .”

“My son and his wife borrowed my backpack vac and loved it so much that my wife and I decided to give them a backpack vac for Christmas and after researching we chose the Pacvac Super Pro 700...they were stoked and raved about it so I asked them to review it to give feedback to Pacvac...they wrote: Pros- Suction is amazing Very easy to clean Easy to put various parts on and off Good chord length Comfortable to wear Easy to switch on and off when wearing it Cons Just one - the cord management isn't great. For example, on yours, there is a little hook on the side where you can wrap the cord and release it as you move around which was fantastic. This one - the cord just sort of sits there and there isn't any mechanism attached to the machine to help you keep it tidy FYI there is an image of my vacs cord management below. We are so pleased they are so very happy with this great backpack vac... it's a clear winner”

I recommend your son and his wife check out Pacvac Academy: academy.pacvac.com, an invaluable tool on getting the most out of your investment, with safety, operation and maintenance tips. Also, a note for your son regarding his comment, 'where you can release the cord as you move around. If we've read this right, it is really important to point out that the cord should be fully unraveled before the machine is used, (which is the same for all AC appliances). If not, a tightly looped cord, whilst using the product may generate excessive heat from the electricity (which gets trapped) and could lead to melting of the wire casing, exposing the wires and making this unsafe and or causing the product to stop working. Unraveling the cord, allows the heat to dissipate, and is the safest way to operate the machine.
