The Pacvac Velo Backpack Vacuum Cleaner is a lightweight and compact professional cleaning solution designed for both professional cleaners and users seeking professional-quality results at home. Built for efficiency and comfort, the Velo delivers powerful cleaning performance while remaining easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces and large environments.
Weighing just 3.9kg, the Pacvac Velo is one of the lightest backpack vacuums on the market. Despite its compact size, the unit features a powerful 900W motor that provides strong suction for efficient cleaning across a variety of surfaces. Its 18m power cord allows operators to cover a cleaning area of up to 1158m², reducing the need to frequently change power outlets and improving productivity during commercial cleaning tasks.
The Velo comes standard with Pacvac’s Ecoharness, designed with thicker padding for improved comfort during extended cleaning sessions. Made from at least 50% recycled rPET plastic, the Ecoharness is produced using recycled water bottles, supporting Pacvac’s commitment to sustainable product design.
For improved indoor air quality, the Velo features an H13 HEPA Hypercone™ filter system with four stages of filtration. This advanced filtration system captures 99.95% of dust particles as small as 0.3 microns, helping maintain cleaner air in environments such as offices, schools, hotels, and healthcare facilities.
Additional features include a water-resistant on/off switch positioned at the base of the unit for durability and ease of use. The vacuum also comes equipped with the popular All Purpose Floor Tool (FLT001), suitable for a wide range of hard floors and low-pile carpets. For deeper carpet cleaning and effective pet hair removal, the Turbo Head Floor Tool (FLT007) can be paired with the Velo to agitate embedded dirt and debris on low to medium pile carpets.

“Absolutely love my on vac. Cord is long and it's very lightweight. Only thing I don't like is the cord gets so twisted up and it takes ages to get it straightened out. Hard to do anything about I guess.”

“The vacuum is light weight and the shoulder straps are very comfortable. The adjustable wand make it easy for transport and packaging away. The power is the suction is very good... As a commercial cleaner I would buy again .”

“Overall, I’m happy with it, but one thing I’m not satisfied with is the waist belt. When I tighten it to fit me properly, the Velcro doesn’t overlap enough to fasten securely, so it ends up being too loose. I also think the design for storing the hose could be improved.”

Please see this video showing the correct way to wear the Velo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nil-Nsnv83k, however it is noted smaller users may have additional length leftover like you have mentioned. A few ideas for the hose storage; it can be connected to the wand & floor tool and sat upright connected next to the machine or take of the wand & floor tool and sit the hose nozzle into the carry handle or alternatively you can unscrew the hose from the lid and lay it next to the machine. We'll be passing your comments along to our product and development team. Your feedback about the waist belt fit and the hose storage design is incredibly valuable, and insights like these help us improve future versions of our products. Jina

“Very happy with my new PacVac. I can actually see it lifting the carpet as I vacuum. Very effective suction for such a lightweight machine. Only drawback for me was the 18m cable. I reduced it by half, which is more than enough for our 2 bed unit. Maybe the company could offer optional lengths for those not doing commercial work.”

One important thing to note is that the power cord should always be fully unrolled during use. This isn't just for convenience, it's a safety recommendation. A coiled extension lead or power cord can trap heat as electricity passes through it, so fully extending the cord helps it dissipate heat properly and ensures safe operation.
