Thundershirt Anti Anxiety Shirt for Dogs X Large / Grey Reviews

4.4 Rating 26 Reviews
The thundershirt has worked very well at calming our very nervous Japanese Spitz. Hes a year old and is scared of everything from loud noises, knocks at the door, car trips and new people. I found the shirt very easy to put on and remove and it was a nice snug fit. Just be aware of the temperature as I think without air-conditioning my little fluffy dog would find it a bit warm to wear on a hot day. What I noticed about the thunder shirt was it calmed him down and reduced the amount of barking. He also seemed to not growl as much when he heard loud noises. I think the best thing that has happened is improvement of car rides. We would have to stop 2-3 times in a trip as he was so nervous and panicky. We recently had to drive to family and for the first time didnt have to stop once. I also had comments from family once we arrives that he was much calmer than usual and was barking less. I think overall this is a wonderful product and I will be using it for all our travelling in the future.

Reading various reviews of this Thundershirt product, I was a bit sceptical about this product. However, I found my 2 year old medium size dog was quite calm during the last weather event. He used to get a little trembling, anxious, clingy and upset with each heavy rain / thunderstorm. This product worked like a like a miracle. I feel the vest is showing improvement and he do not bark for the storm. Calmer overall. I wish everyone luck and give it a go.

We recently tried the Thundershirt for 1 of our dogs. We have only used it 3 times so far as we havent had much thunder or anxiety provoking activities, but she wasnt as clingy when the thundershirt was on, she typically is like a magnet, but she sat by herself however her heavy panting didnt settle with the shirt on. Hopefully more uses we see a further change.

I was gifted the small size ThunderShirt product sample to trial and review for my Bichon. The fit was perfect for her size, and she appeared very comfortable wearing it even though the weather is quite hot at the moment, but did feel warm underneath. The quality of the ThunderShirt was of a high standard. My Bichon has an anxiety of being left alone whilst we go out and this seemed be reduced when wearing the jacket. We also tried it when we have visitors over and found she was slightly less excited when she was wearing the jacket.

We have an Aussie Shepard who has a few anxious triggers Storms, Bicycles and balls bouncing. We have tried the thundershirt for bicycles and ball bouncing so far (no thunderstorms as yet since receiving this product) and the changes have been significant. Instead of jumping at, barking or shaking over bikes or bouncing he has been more calm and under control at these moments of anxiety which has been an amazing change in his and our lives. I was gifted a product to sample to trial and review.

I have a young 16 months active and over excited male Kelpie called Beau. I wasnt sure whether the thundershirt would calm him down, however I have tried this on this twice on a normal quite day at home and once while walking in the park. I noticed he calms down immediately after I put the shirt on Ihim snuggly so he feels he is being cuddle. He becomes quieter, walks slower, stays relatively still and doesnt jump on me while walking in the park. At home, I noticed he lay down on his tummy and stays quiet for a bit before he gets up and started scratching on the shirt. Unfortunately I didnt have a scenario where there is loud thunder or banging noice to experiment the thundershirt. Would love to see what his reaction is like in those kind of situations but my feeling is he would be much more calmer in those situation. I recommend putting this shirt on your dog for only short period of time to calim excitable dogs as it could feel quite warm for prolong periods.

I have a 2-year-old Border Collie. I was sceptical about this product with my boy as his barking/anxiety is triggered by sudden noises outside the house, however, usually he does not like being held tightly. Initially when we first put it on him, he was not bothered by wearing it and he seemed a lot calmer through a set of Australia Day fireworks than he usually would be. However, I did notice that the longer I left it on him the less effective it would be. So, I think using it for him just for when he really needs it would be the most effective method. Its hard to tell without trying it in different scenarios and over a long period of time. Will be good to take away camping with us to properly try it out then! Quality seems great and it fit him perfectly. I bought the large size as Stanley is 23kg. Lots of give if he were to be a little smaller or a little bigger. The ThunderPatch seems like a great feature, although I have not tried it yet. Overall, worth a shot for an unsettled and anxious dog. I was gifted a product sample to trial and review.

I am quite impressed with the high quality of the material which is quite elastic and flexible and strong velcro for fastening. * Disclaimer I was gifted this product to trial and review.
