“We did a lot of research and decided on the Easypod Automatic self-cleaning with air pump and UV. The unit arrived double boxed for added protection during shipment. The first thing we did was read the instruction manual cover to cover. The unit came wired with a power cord and pump power outlet. The instructions however did not show that it was pre wired. The instructions have you open the control box and hard wire to the terminal blocks. Luckily this was not required. Upon reading the manual I discovered that the self-cleaning version only works in the pump fed configuration. Luckily I had planned on using this filter in this way. I don't remember reading or seeing this requirement in my research. Beyond these two minor issues the filter seems to be well made from quality products and well engineered. Our filter sits just off the edge and above our pond exposed to the elements so I found a 27.5" x 27.5" round grill cover to place over it for added protection. Time will be the ultimate judge, but this looks to be a fantastic filter.”

“Very easy to set up. At first I missed the one sentence that says the automatic pump fed Eazy Pod is ready to go with no alterations needed. I just saw the pages of electrical hook up and the suggestion of getting an electrician despite the fact that I saw all the plugs. I guess it was just a matter of too much information. I emailed Play it Koi regarding the connections and received a reply within minutes so I plugged it in and turned it on. The pod starts in the cleaning mode. I heard the air pump running. When that finished the pond pump kicked on and filled the pod. It was pretty cool seeing that happen automatically. Now it's fingers crossed for the coming weeks to see how the automatic cleaning cycle works. I left it at the factory setting to start.”

“I used to spend a lot of time maintaining my filters, and I just got tired of it. This self-cleaning filter is great! It does all of the work for me. Would recommend.”
