“My Hakko 80L pump has been running 24/7 to supplement my 5000 gallon koi pond for years now. It's outside, covered by only a canopy of bushes. The pump lets out a quiet humm which is consistent with all air pumps. This particular model lasts long and we've had no issues whatsoever.”

“I've had the HK80L for about 5 years and I'm very happy with the quality of this machine. I run it in the bedroom with a line out to our pond, yes it's that quiet. Maintenance is easy when changing the diaphragms and like a previous reviewer said, have a spare set on hand. My significant other doesn't like it running full blast cause she's worried about the pond plants so I added a bleed valve so that I can adjust the airflow. Buy one!”
