“I am disappointed in the depth of the floating plant baskets, 2 inches, hardly enough room for the water hyacinth roots. I hope the foam ring holds up it seems rather flimsy to me. I will keep them but won't have need to try them out here in Pennsylvania until next spring. The way they were packaged (folded up) The foam rings are distorted but I think in the heat next summer they may be Ok. 18"x36" floating plant baskets.”

“I LOVE these floating flora barriers. They keep my koi from destroying my water lettuce and hyacinths. The hyacinths are blooming and look amazing while they help keep the pond healthy. Just ordered 2 more that arrived today.”

“If you have a pond of fish, the product does what it’s intended for, it’s slightly unsightly if the foliage of the pond plants floating in the island isn’t covering the edges. The only reason I am truly unhappy with it is because I wanted to keep my turtle out of my plants, she can climb right into the island destroying my plants anyway. Just feel like I tried something ($45 out of pocket) but it doesn’t do what I wanted and can not be returned. I keep rescuing her out of the island so I could never leave for vacation with the island in the pond it would be terrible if she was stuck in the island for a week or better.”

Hi Denise, we definitely appreciate the feedback. We do specialize in koi fish and koi ponds, but do dable in all aquatic life so your feedback is helpful. As cold-blooded animals, I know turtles love sunning themselves. I can imagine the nycon net is likely a perfect perch for your turtle crew... ample sun, no extra energy required to float, and they have an abundant food source of whatever plant concoction they may want to munch on (water hyacinth, water lettuce, & more!). Anyhow, I can imagine as a turtle that I'd be very happy with these floating plant islands, but I do understand your feedback if you are trying to keep them out. Cheers!
