“It’s stainless steel, most folks are going to plastic. I prefer this strong high volume pump over plastic. This is my second one, but I run it hard, I run it in more of a cistern in a hardware basket. I can not have a proper skimmer. I have my plant baskets hanging off the sides so the impeller duties are awesome. If curious it’s a 25 foot long, 15 foot high mountain stream. My cistern has drain connected to my flood drain. This feature is designed for professional bird photography ( job) and needs to be flowing at all times. I’m thinking about purchasing another one for a back up. Things happen and not having a second pump can cost more than not. I highly recommend their products.”
