“Easy to install if you are replacing an exisiting badger garbage disposal. Took about 15 min to swap. First unplug the disposal. You unscrew the drain right angle fitting (2 bolts), and the dishwasher line (if you have a dishwasher). Then you twist it off clockwise and it will unhook fromcthe bottom of the sink. Since the union to the sink is the same, you can use the old existing one without having to unscrew and use plumbers putty. Installation is simple and in reverse.Additional plus, the new unit ended up being much more quiet than the old one!Important tip - if you have a dishwasher line, make sure to take a screwdriver and pop open the hole so it is open to the grinding part of the new garbage disposal. Basically take a screwdriver and hit it inside the nipple for the dishwasher nipple.”
“This is my second unit installation as I bought this unit back in November and installed it in my house. It has been working like a dream. The second unit I recommended for my neighbor and even bought it for him. I subsequently installed the unit in his house and both installations were quite easy if you follow the directions completely. The directions could be better as you have to jump around and work your way through foreign languages interspersed in the English directions. Plus there are several sections you may need to skip over, so follow closely. The unit has been functioning very well for our household of three.”
“The home builder installed insinkerator disposal fails/leaks as mine did 5yrs after buying the house.Pro: This is the easiest option to get the sink back in operation. Insinkerator makes all their models used the same matchup sink connectors. Probably it takes only a 15 minute replacement for most people.Con: The previous one, the same model and manufacturer, only lasted 5yrs. The martial was corrupted and leaked with a big hole, and un-repairable. Compared with my other brands I used in other houses, they are lasting more than ten years or even 20+yrs.Tip: buy the same model with the electric cord installed version, it’s only $5 more, otherwise you have to buy the cord separately for $15, and install the cord by yourself .”
“It was the exact model as the OLD unit but they changed the the output. The output came straithe out of the old one, NOT like the 90 degree pipe. Well I hate plumbing but I went to Lowes and found the straight pipe in the size I needed. Easy to Install. Easier to remove than install though but I would think most people could do it. And it comes with the cord installed already. Don't forget to punch out the part for a dish washer if you have a dish washer.”
