“I ordered a Church brand 585 elongated seat but it came in a toilet’s.com box that was also labeled Bemis. There were no instructions whatsoever in the box. On YouTube, the Church videos were worthless. Be sure to go to Plumbing Parts Pro’s YouTube video for clear concise instructions. The easy clean bolt model that I received is very different than a traditional toilet seat. Trust me you need the instructions from Plumbing Parts Pro on YouTube.”
“Gave 'em four stars - but not why you'd THINK. Hey, I'm not gonna say that "I LOVE these toilet seats!" (Tha's just not RIGHT)They are, however, made well and seem to do their "job."(Ugh! whadda job that is, too.)”
“I love the original look and the sturdiness. Unfortunately, when you lift the seat, there is a stain all around the front that has been there from the first month of use on. I don’t know if this is because I ruined it or if there’s an issue with the wooden seat. I just now read (after 2 years of using it) that you’re only supposed to use dish soap or mild wipes and I used a stronger cleaner. I will now buy another seat (because I really like the quality otherwise) and give it another chance while cleaning it with a mild soap. I’ll revise or update my review once I see the results.”
“Good quality/feel. Not difficult to install but be warned that there were no installation instructions in or on the box. However, this does NOT have the beveled back top cover edge around the perimeter as shown in all the pictures - this is a much more plain looking seat cover.”
“This is a good looking toilet seat, very solid. Easy to install if you watch the directions on the website BUT I can't twist the caps to completely lock. Not even with pliers and a wrench. So seat is only kinda-locked. Time will tell if it gradually works loose. It already did after a couple days so I removed the seat, tightened the screw posts and installed it again. We'll see.”
