“I have three Zoeller units at work around my property... Using 1.5" PVC drain line it can shoot the discharge water about 2' feet into the air on a 100' run of pipe... GENIUS!!!”
“Bought the Wayne 3/4hp and then subsequently the Wayne 1hp sump pump. Neither one of these could handle a 1.5” 300 ft discharge pipe with 3 ft of total rise. Both pumps after about 15 on / off cycles would trip the internal thermal overload. I contacted Zoeller and they ran the calculations for me and said their 1/2hp M98 pump would handle the job. And sure enough it can run on/off cycles indefinitely without overloading the pump. So needless to say the Zoeller 1/2 hp is far superior to the Wayne 3/4hp and 1hp. Spend a few extra dollars and get the Zoeller M98.”
“Good pump, works well... The rubber boot on the float switch lever eventually split... Could’ve lasted longer with a better seal... I just bought another one. I guess that says more than anything I will write here.”
“I bought the pump as a spare unit... I'm not sure if the switch has ever been replaced in the current unit, but it's awesome... The first 2 units I was shipped had the cords damaged so I had to return them.”
“Dude! It’s a Zoeller M98!! .5 horses of “I’m gonna make d@mn sure your basement stays dry!” Easy to install and has a very long cord. Keep in mind: switches can fail. This replaced an M53 with a failed switch. Now the M53 is a backup. Very heavy, solid cast iron. Cast iron helps dissipate heat into the surrounding cold water.”
“I'm a DIYer, but this was my first sump pump install... Paired with an Aquanot 508 battery backup pump... It’s also faster at clearing the water... Definitely worth the money.”
“Original Zoeller lasted 6 years. Tried Flotec and Rigid next—both failed under 2 years. Rigid’s warranty was misleading. Returned to Zoeller and it pumps faster than anything I’ve used, although it's the noisiest. So far, performing well.”
