“Excellent disposal. Easy to install. I did have to cut a few pipes to size but that is expected.This unit is very quite. It has shock absorbers that reduce the noise due to the inevitable shaking.I bought this in part because of the promise of the Bio elements for septic tank. This seems like a good idea and the bugs inside the dispenser correlate to professional products recommended by my septic tank guy.”
“This was an easy setup due to I had an old inSinkErator with the same quick connection installed. The old 1/2 HP was still functioning fine but wanted a quieter model and more power ... ah ah ah !! Anyway , works great , super quite and the 3/4 HP unit grids like a pro. I am not on a city septic system so I found the Bio charge to be a wanted addition to help with breakdown of food waste to our private septic system.Pros: Double grinding plates / Lots of power / Super QuietCons: None at this point.”
“Was a little hard to install but now that it is in and working so far so good. I found it doesn't grind citrus rinds as good as my old InSinkErator but it does get most of it ground up. It is a lot quitter than our old machine”
“This unit has an overload feature which automatically shuts it off if used too long. If there is no humming sound at all then be sure the power and water are OFF then push the red square reset button one time. The red square reset button is on the bottom of the unit. This should reboot the unit to use as normal.To install the bio charge, remove the black tip on the bottle by pulling straight up on it and then place the bottle with the nozzle in the vertical position, front label facing out, into the slot on the exterior of the unit. You'll hear a "click" to let you know it is installed.InSinkErator customer service 1-800-558-5700 answered these questions. They are located in the Philippines and answered all the questions posed clearly and patiently, waiting on the phone while the reset and installation took place. They asked to offer additional marketing which you can either accept or decline to receive. Any personal data is said to be kept confidential and will not be shared outside of InSinkErator.”
“This is my 2nd unit in 14 years.. (I must've damaged the first, when I dislodged a piece of metal with a flat bar and hammer, because it developed an internal leak shortly afterwards).. ++buy it here for $199 or go get it at the plumbingsupplyandmore for $249. I have to say, the noise level is substantially lower in this one.. to the extent that my better half asked "are you sure it's working?".Of all the negative reviews here, I believe a good portion are either trolls or folks who should have hired somebody to install their unit. With a 4 year in-home warranty (parts and labor) you can't go wrong, so long as the unit is properly installed. If it's damaged out of the box, simply return it for a replacement.”
“Absolutely the quietest garbage disposal I've ever used.If it helps with my septic tank, I will be totally impressed.As some reviews noted, this unit is big. It fits under the sink, but in order to access the bottle of septic booster, we had to turn it a little sideways.The plug for the dishwasher is plastic (don't forget to remove it) and was very easy to remove.”
