“Right out of the box it was identical to the one I was replacing so I only had to reverse the steps from removing the old one. Complete and easy to understand removal and replacement instructions were included which I read even though I had done this several times before for other people.”
“It was an exact replacement for our old thermostat unit, and about $200 less than I was at an online parts store. You do have to be sure that BOTH knobs are set to 'pilot' before the pilot will light. And the plastic sleeve stays on the copper probe, as near as I can tell. Otherwise the probe would be eventually caked with minerals/lime and lose it's sensitivity. It was a huge pain to install, because of our hard water and all the lime I had to drain from the tank in pieces, after removing the drain valve. I could have tried the pro way as I saw on youtube, but I wanted to remove as much lime and minerals as possible. Five Stars.”
“This item saved me from replacing my whole water heater and consequently wasting more time, spending more money and cleaning the mess in my basement. It definitely worthed. My only concern was it wouldn't fit but it has proved to be almost identical with my broken one, which worked fine for about 7-8 years. It has been shipped very fast, I got it in about 4-5 days, and It took about 30 minutes to replace the old one, including draining the water from the reservoir.
