“Tried to connect using existing hardware. Rubber cowling is to large. Had to install all of the components included.Hardwired would be great if they included a clamp for the electrical wires.Pretty quiet compared to my old unit.”
“This is a great replacement for any disposal 5 years old or more. It is easy to install and super quiet! I needed to hard wire which was easy but the power cord is a wonderful option if you have an outlet to use. The one concern I have is there is no manual way to clear any stoppages with a wrench like my previous unit which was a nice backup option. So far it is a great upgrade and space saver under the sink. Moen should be a brand that provides quality products and I am confident it will be problem free for many many years.”

“Other reviewers thought the noise level, especially on start-up, was too loud. Mine does not have a problem. It is relatively quiet and seems to do a good job at grinding the small amount of waste I put down it. The only con I have is the splash guard design. The gaps are too small and waste has to be pushed- rather than just washed - down the drain. All sorts of stuff, even grains of rice get caught. I'm considering cutting the gasket flaps to separate them but haven't done it yet.I didn't personally install the disposal, so I can't comment on installation ease.”

“Took a little figuring out how to replace. Have a strong should to push "up" while turning in place. Had to replumb from my old one...which was a good idea anyway, but took some trial and error because angle was different. Don't take this on when you are in a hurry. Plan on an hour or more to install and get just right, especially if you are hard wiring it back in.”
“This was pretty easy to install, I replaced a badger and the Moen is much lighter, which made that part easy to install. The instructions are good, I was easily able to remove the old one and replace this one. The only problem is that it’s hard to tighten down at the end but they all are! It doesn’t spin once it’s attached so you have to be sure it’s positioned right. Moen much quieter then the badger! I’m pleased with this purchase, plus the price was great.”
