“Viega, I just re-piped my whole house. I made the investment with proper PEX-A expansion joints on everything. I ran all lines to the Manabloc.WAIT. All of the ports are PEX-B crimps like it is 2001. I'm dreaming of a high-flow shower, until I realize the tiny little nipples I'm to crimp my girthy 1/2" line to is an 8mm STRAW. The proprietary 1" inlets? All crimp.Wait, I'll check with the manufacturer, surely there is an upgrade option to get me my full 1/2" PEX-A I.D. value. I bet there are inlet adapters for 3/4" PEX-A. Nope.Viega, seriously, SERIOUSLY, give those who want a high-bandwith shower the option. Develop (and learn to love) the PEX expansion connection. When you make them, charge $10 per port adapter as an upgrade, charge $50 per inlet adapter, I'll pay it. Make your money, I want to not get burned in the shower when your mom flushes the toilet. Here is my money, I'll hand it to you.For those who have no idea what I'm talking about: Imagine taking a shower with an 8mm hose. Your normal lines are 12.7mm internal diameter. Each of your pipes are 62% of their former selves in diameter once you connect to this thing. That is the skinny little coffee straw these Manablocs are putting out on each port. The room-control is nice, but you're not thinking about the people who are willing to put in the extra work and tool investment for a fat shower.Because right now, I'm desperate. I'll finish this whole-home re-pipe, I'll temporarily reschedule my dream of a shower that blasts, and I'm sniffing around for another manifold that embraces the veiny girth of a full 1/2" PEX. Not to be that guy, but all my neighbors are looking at a repipe (NIBCO Dura-Pex lawsuit drama), and the second I say that a paltry 8mm is all your shower money-shot will be, we'll find your PEX-A-loving competitor. Please, do the right thing. Newer homes are PEX-A now. I'll be your biggest fan. Hook me up with some adapters.”
“OK I used this manifold to feed 4 other sub manifolds in the walls on a re-pipe. From my research, this is the best master manifold that you can buy, however, there were issues with the bottom, Coldwater three-quarter inch threads… I was able to re-thread, the bottom, port, with a three-quarter inch brass retaining ring .. in general, I would say buy this product, but you gotta know what you’re doing!!!You have to place “hold right” pipe clamps correctly, as to not stress, the manabloc ports! I will attach pictures later”
“I was worried that this manifold would constrict the flow in my system. I absolutely does not. I created a 10' pex stub and measured the output of one of the ports and it was over 4 gallons per minute. I think this is the max my well system can produce.I love being able to turn off any home run to work on a specific appliance. It's also handy if you're working on "future" connections. For example, I went ahead and ran home runs for the fridge and dishwasher and just turned off at the manifold. My only complaint is that they don't provide the main fittings (for the supplies). I knew this because of another review so I bought them at the same time I bought the manifold, but I'll bet a lot of people are surprised by this.I went this route because of how clean it looks and how convenient it is. No putty, no teflon tape, just screw on the caps. It's been in a couple of months and I'm very happy with it.”
“I installed this in a house that I am flipping. It was my first time using one. I love it!. I will be installing one at home!. So easy to use. It's just like having a breaker box for your plumbing. No searching allover basements and crawl spaces, trying to guess where there may be a shutoff. I would recommend this to everybody!”
