I can honestly say that Prospera’s perinatal training was one of the best, most effective, and efficient programs I’ve completed. As a certified health coach, my education was thorough yet broad, and Prospera’s program helped me truly zoom in on the most essential knowledge needed in the postpartum mental health space. No matter what area of mental health you work in, you will almost certainly encounter postpartum parents—and many will experience some form of postpartum anxiety. I completed this program before becoming a mother myself, and in hindsight, it was the most valuable information I could have learned going into pregnancy and postpartum. The “fourth trimester” is one of the most challenging—and amazing—phases of life, and having the tools to cope personally or support others through it is invaluable. Prospera’s certification is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, with skills that translate seamlessly across a variety of therapeutic approaches, making it especially practical and versatile. The training is well organized, interactive, and thorough. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic, and genuinely a joy to work with. This type of work requires more than just reading and studying—it requires role-playing, practice, and real-life application, all of which are thoughtfully built into the program (and can actually be fun!). You also gain so much insight from fellow trainees, which adds another rich layer to the learning experience. If you’re on the fence, take the leap—you won’t regret this opportunity.

The course information was very thorough, and the thing I found most helpful was the role playing. This was truly the best way to learn new coaching skills (I had never done Cognitive Behavioral Therapy before),test out what we were learning, get immediate feedback, and feel more confident going into real sessions with clients.

The Prospera Perinatal certification training was one of the best trainings I’ve attended, and I’ve completed many. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and supportive, and the content was well-structured and engaging. The takeaways were immediately applicable and have been incredibly helpful for my clients. I’m grateful I completed this training; it helped me integrate CBT into my coaching toolkit, deepen my understanding of where clients tend to get stuck with anxiety and depression, and I continue to see significant benefits for the clients I serve.

This program fills a valuable and much-needed niche in maternal mental health coaching. Having completed many coaching programs, I can confidently say this one stands out for the depth of its content and the expertise of its instructors. The facilitators are truly at the top of their field and bring immense knowledge to the learning experience. I finished the program with a much deeper understanding of the perinatal period, the struggles women face, and what they need to feel better—along with greater confidence in my ability to support them.

The psychologists who developed this training took advantage of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, lived experience, and a smart teaching rythym to help coaches absorb the content and practice the skills live. Working in smaller groups and dyads to practice the skills set us up for success.

The course material, the opportunity to practice the new skills during training, and of course the amazing instructors made this one of the most valuable educational experiences I’ve had! Definitely recommend.

This course exceeded every single expectation I had. It was layed out in a logical and helpful way and the instructors were incredible and gentle humans. In the course, we even got to practice our new skills through role plays (which were hard, but taught me more than I could have ever learned without them). This course changed how I approach and interact with clients and I am proud of the coach I've become because of it.
