Ideal to reach sites that otherwise would have been difficult to visit. Wonderfull small boat, yet well equiped to make excursions ashore and snorkeling. Members of the crew and guides were very professionnel and friendly. The meals were very good and varied. What else could have we asked for?

Dear Ives, It’s fantastic to hear how much you enjoyed both the adventure and the comforts onboard — sounds like you made the most of every moment! We’re especially happy you appreciated the crew and guides; they love sharing the Galápagos as much as you loved exploring it. Thank you for taking the time to share this — it means a lot to us. Our trip with the crew of the Evolution Galapagos Yacht was nothing short of breathtaking. The experience was one of the best of my life. The three naturalist guides, Christina, Gaby, and Hernan, were all fantastic, as was Ruben, cruise director, Diego, the wonderful bartender extraordinaire, and all the rest of the staff. I would say the one drawback was the food - less than I would have expected (and I am not talking about quantities). Breakfasts were very good - the made to order omelets (by Ruben) were excellent. Still an amazing experience!

Dear Jerald, Thank you for your thoughtful review! It’s wonderful to hear that the Evolution's onboard 'dream team' made your trip so memorable. I am a bit surprised to hear your feedback on the food, as this particular departure received high marks in that area, but we truly appreciate your honesty. I’ll be sure to pass your comments along to our head chef so he can review them with the onboard restaurant team. If your travels ever bring you back to the Galapagos, we’d love to welcome you aboard again! Karen Matthews Customer Success Hero

What an amazing trip! Easily top 3 of the many organized tours I've taken around the world. The Galapagos Islands themselves would have been sufficient, but the Evolution and its crew took this to another level. The crew and naturalists were fantastic: super friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had so many activities every day (this is an expedition-style trip, after all), and yet things were still run incredibly smoothly. I had high expectations coming in, based on reviews, but Quasar really knocked this one out of the park. Well done, and well worth it! I pretty much never write reviews, and know that I'm gushing, but I really can't recommend this highly enough!

Bill & Linda Reynolds 25 Jan - 01 Feb 2025 While the entire crew was fantastic, from Capt Victor to the unseen members who made the brilliant towel animals in our room each day, a special shout-out to Moncia and Cornelia is required. Their enthusiasm and personality made the trip for us. The only reason we did not mention Lenin is we only had brief exposure to him, but when we did, he was outstanding. After reading countless positive reviews, the 5-star rating is well deserved. The crew went out their way to make us feel important, even though there were another 30 people on board. No question or ask was too small or difficult for Steve and his crew. Now on to Monica and her partner in crime, Cornelia, it was very clear from the beginning, they both really enjoy what they do. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and their knowledge was superb about even the smallest creatures. What I appreciated the most was their openness to talk about their lives on the islands and made us understand just how unique a place it is. You can add our names to the growing list of folks who have traveled on the Evolution and had a simply marvelous time and would certainly recommend Quasar to family or friends. Thank you for a wonderful time, Bill & Linda

The Galapagos expedition on the Evolution was outstanding in all respects and truly met all criteria of a once in a lifetime journey! The itinerary – In the Footsteps of Darwin and Pirates – hit everything we could have asked for. We saw the natural wonders of the geology – red sand beaches, volcanic formations, white sand beaches, cliffs both above and below the water, etc. We also saw almost every part of the wildlife in the islands – dolphins, sea turtles, giant tortoises, sharks, penguins, sea lions, many types of fish, frigate birds, Nazca boobies, and of course the blue footed boobies. We were even lucky enough to see two of the last albatrosses on Espanola with one flying off and one waiting to get up a little more courage for their first flight. The guides on the cruise were awesome – helping with anything and everything we needed. They were encyclopedias of knowledge, they were excited to share with us in lectures and on the ground / in the sea, they helped with taking photos, they adjusted equipment, and they became part of the group we were traveling with rather than guides. A special shout-out to Carolina and Monica as being extraordinary throughout the week! The cruise director Steve ensured that everything we needed on board was addressed. He met with us shortly after embarking and discussed my wife’s food allergies, and every meal where an adjustment was needed he had plates prepared and ready for her so she could eat as close to what we were having as possible - and without having to ask for it or worry about it. She was one of three people on the boat where this was done, and it really made everyone so happy with that aspect. One of the other people on the cruise had not had calamari for years due to the gluten in the breading, and Steve had gluten free breading used so she could enjoy the calamari. Captain Victor and the rest of the crew were also all very good – getting us on and off of the boat quickly, getting us to the best spots possible, etc. The open bridge was nice, as we were able to stop by and watch one of the multiple crossings of the Equator early one morning. One concern I have seen expressed online is that 32 passengers is too many and that number will lead to delays or challenges vs a smaller boat. At no time did I feel that was an issue, and in fact the 32 passengers worked well as Quasar has three guides on board so we were split into three groups of 10 - 12 rather than having the 16 maximum passengers to a guide. We were able to quickly embark / disembark, and the smaller group size worked very well for our panga rides / hikes / snorkeling expeditions. If you have any concern about the size of the ship being too large I would say do not worry, it is great!! Beyond the excellent staff, the ship was great! It was big enough that we had space to socialize, space to spread out when desired, and all the amenities you could want in this type of trip. The suites on the upper level were wonderful as we could exit right onto the upper deck, the bridge, the outdoor lounge / bar, etc. The cost was a bit more, but for this trip it was well worth it. Lastly, and I know this can vary by week / group, we had a great group to travel with. People taking this trip clearly were looking for an eco-adventure and not a “typical cruise,” and we enjoyed speaking with everyone over the course of the week. By the end of the week we were all sharing e-mails and cell numbers to exchange photos and stay in touch for future adventures. It could not have been a better visit to the Galapagos Islands! Thanks to Quasar for having such an excellent boat and staff in place. Special thanks also to Jennifer Gillmore and Nicole Cooper at TravelBeyond who helped arrange the cruise for us and also coordinated an equally spectacular trip to Peru - including Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley in the days leading up to our cruise!
