“I've been looking for a plastic free coffee maker for a long time. Note this is only plastic free if you get the glass pour over carafe. I wish they didn't use plastic for the coffee brewer piece. None of the available machines have the functionality I need which would be an auto on timer and automatic size selection of the brew. I don't have much time in the morning to mess around with coffee brewing. With that said, this seemed like one of better options. I kept this because the coffee tastes delicious. I used a ninja drip machine and was blown away at the difference in flavor.”
“Brews a great cup of coffee, and super fast (4 minutes). Would be cool if it had a timed function, especially at this price. I don't have any issues with the lip on the brew basket flinging water, as other reviewers have mentioned. I imagine this new model has a few milimeters between the lip and the top of the bewer on purpose, and that's a good change. We'll see how it hold ups (needs to last 10 years at this price) but so far, first impressions are great.”
“We absolutely love the Ratio. Design and build quality are excellent, and the push button operation is a joy to use - especially coming from the world of aero press and moka pots. Coffee quality is consistently better than any method we’ve used outside maybe a perfectly crafted pour over. Highly recommended.”
“Didn’t get the Ratio Six. I was sent the fancy, fancy Ratio 8 by your shipping department. Even though the error was not mine, I was told I had to re-pack the coffee maker and run the risk of a 20% restocking fee if there was any damage. I had decided I did not want the Ratio Six either, but you would not issue me a charge credit until I returned the machine you sent me in error safely. The only way to avoid this unpleasantness was to pay you an additional $260.00. You extorted me. Such an awful experience!! My coffee maker will be in a charity white elephant sale at a large church in my city, with a hilarious note about this farce. And on top of everything, after changing filter brand, type, coffee grind, water to coffee ratio, I have never gotten a decent cup of coffee!! You couldn’t make up a more ridiculous product/service story than this. I think the Ratio Six will be a hit at the white elephant sale—should be good for something.”
“Love it, my Moccamaster finally wore out after 15 years, so had to make a decision. So, what fun to experiment with the Ratio Six! The taste is superb. I was happy with the Moccamaster, but all the talk about Ratio’s distinct blossom stage, is pretty convincing. One question about the caraf lid, though. It seems to have two settings: turn clockwise and it locks and pours. Turn left, it is loose and can be removed. Is there not a setting to just lock and not pour, you know, with a tight seal? Always thought a tight seal would keep it hotter longer.”
