“In all fairness to coffee aficionados, I may not be the best person to actually give this device a rating. I am literally brand new to the world of pour-over coffee. What I can say though is that I LOVE the ease of the Kone, the fact that I don’t have to bother with buying paper filters, and most importantly to me… the fact that the Kone—coupled with the Ratio Dripper (and Catcher)—look badass on my counter next to my Stagg kettle and black mugs. As a visual artist, everything about making a cup of coffee with things that LOOK cool is kinda important to me. I know… this is not the review you were hoping for, but just take into consideration everything that makes you happy. If things that look cool are important, then look no further. And when I am better at actually making pour-over coffee, I am certain that when I compare this to Chemex filters I will be most pleased that I chose the Kone filter option instead. Cheers!”
