“As a comparison to the Vermont Castings wood burning fireplace insert that I replaced with the Regency Pro Series, there are some things I like....and some I don't. Like: I like the appearance, the time duration of the burning logs, the deep burn chamber and the ease of loading the logs. Dislike: I don't like the fact that there's no catch tray under the burn chamber to catch ashes. The ash all builds up in the burn chamber and when you want to use the stove for extended burning times, unloading the ash to prevent overflow gets challenging. I also don't like the speed at which carbon build up accumulates on the front glass of the stove. I distorts the view of the fire and is also cumbersome to clean unless/until the wood stove has cooled after use. The two items listed as "dislike" are certainly important to me, now that I've seen these issues and will certainly influence the criterion I use for my next fireplace insert purchase.”

“Unit performs very well since installation. However, fire door seems to need an adjustment to properly close after only three months use. Not what we expected from such a unit. Will hold off on final review of product to friends until this issue is resolved. Joe and Diane Hudachek”

“Long time regency fan. Grew up with one and had one of my own in a previous house. I recently moved and couldn’t wait until I could buy a new stove. I wouldn’t even look at another brand... I bought a beautiful looking ci2600 new off the show room floor. I should have read the reviews. Black glass, black glass, black glass. I have perfect draft. I even bought kiln dried wood at the store to rule out moisturize. Black glass! I don’t feel the BTUs are where they should be and even though the firebox can take a 20 inch log the back only fits an 18. So I have to cut my rounds in 2 different lengths and stack accordingly? Not super happy. Solid brand but I made the wrong choice. I should have went with the i2400 like I had.”

“we love this insert. its the best $ we've spend on our home in 15 years. (and we remodeled our kitchen-ha!) Powerful, efficient, eco friendly, cosy. family wants to all together by the fire in the winter instead of holed up in their rooms on devices. . the guys at superior stone know what they are doing and this is a high quality machine. highly recommended”
