SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. “This is the best thing that has come into our lives.... now I can know what my son is doing at all times when he is at risk for seizures. Which is mostly mornings and during the night.... I am having to remind myself not to go check on him so frequently and learning to trust the alarm on the monitor. It has saved me energy and steps because before I was getting up several times a night to check on my son... Now I can just look at the monitor and check in on how he is doing.... it has given us a lot of relief knowing we have help with the monitor system. “We recently received the SAMi- 3 Kit with grant assistance through the Danny Did Foundation. The setup was simple and took only a half hour including mounting the camera. This camera has truly given our family peace of mind. We have had no false alarms and the recording feature has been helpful to review our daughter's sleep over the night and follow up with neurology as needed. We really appreciate the assistance from the SAMi team quickly addressing any questions we had.”
