“The design is beautiful. They are soft, absorbent & quick drying. They shake off sand very easily. BUT -- When I read the washing instructions, I was a little bummed. They say "Machine wash on cold, gentle cycle. Hang to dry." Now I feel like I have to wash these towels in a separate load from my regular towels... and who wants to HANG four soaking wet towels??? I still love them, but washing/drying is a pain in the butt.”
Hello Devonet, Thank you for your valuable review. For the first wash, we recommend soaking the towel in cold water for a few hours or overnight and hang drying it. Natural cotton needs to be "broken in", which allows the fibers to bloom, be softer and reach maximum absorbency with better performance. Succeeding washes: Gentle cycle on your washing machine and dry at a low heat on the dryer. IMPORTANT: Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets as they gunk up the fibers making them less absorbent. Hello Catherine, Thank you for your valuable review. The texture, feel and thickness of towels vary depending on the intricacy of the design and the complexity of the weaves used. Hence each towel is unique and can't be compared with the other. The tie dyes are thinner than other towels as they are woven differently and these are very soft and light weight.
