“I just returned from a week at the beach, and I used this towel exclusively. First, I loved that it wasn’t bulky at all! I wish I had one of these for each of my family members— would definitely free up space in the beach/pool bag!
I used it to dry off with, of course, but also as a light blanket to cover my legs when I was getting too much sun— it wasn’t too heavy and didn’t make me too hot. It definitely repelled sand MUCH better than a regular beach towel. I was also able to easily wrap it around my waist as a sarong.
