“This was my first experience buying an electric scooter. After testing another cheaper model, I stuck with the S1 and absolutely love it. I only use it as my work commute and it’s perfect. The scooter gets to its top speed easily and cruises along perfectly. Going uphill is easy but I have noticed that with less battery power in reserves, the slower you go! “Minor quibbles only. Could use an under-deck bashplate, plastic would do imo. Deck could use a back footrest. I last heard the bell sound coming from something with training wheels. Overall length exceeds 1250mm. Typical scooter steep-fork twitchy steering. App doesn't seem compatible with early marks of Android. Would prefer conventional right-side location for brake lever.
However, none of these things was a deal-breaker for me, given the very solid list of upside factors.”
Thank you so much for your constructive feedback on the Inmotion S1, as a current user of an S1 I actually agree with your feedback regarding wishing it had a back footrest and the location of the break lever! It's hard to miss this stuff too much though when the max range for its price point is simply unbeatable!

“Firstly can I say that the service and delivery was excellent.I live in Bundaberg and ordered this late Monday afternoon,and it was on my doorstep the same week,Thursday morning...pretty good since my Dan's order was ordered earlier and arrived the following week..LOL...
Now for the product........
My first scooter was a kaabo Skywalker 8.....no assembly required..
I found that the Inmotion S1 very difficult to assemble...for starters the T handle and the shaft holes didn't align at all..so some of the screws are not in place correctly,so I somehow feel that it is not as safe as it should be..Also,following the instructions as they are...the last screws to tighten are the front wheel,which is odd as it makes it difficult with the rest of the assembly.
My other problem is that it is advertised as being "water proof" ...both on your website and on the blog sights that I viewed before purchasing....However..according to the instruction manual..this scooter should not be used in rainy conditions ..and not ridden in puddles.??? Somewhat confusing as to when it can be used.?? And this was the reason for my purchase...that it was "waterproof"
As for the street performance..it is very different to my previous scooter..the accelerator is very temperamental...a soft touch and one is at 20km an hour...The indicator lights seem overkill and will use up the battery quickly..
Overall..this scooter is OK for my requirements,getting to and from work ...but for an extra $100 I personally feel that the kaabo Skywalker 8 is a better product”

I appreciate you raising your concern on the Inmotion S1's water-resistant capabilities and I am sorry to hear that the manufacturer's specified Ip ratings vs. what is said in the user manual has created confusion. I believe the reason the choice of words are used in the user's manual is to express that while the S1 has the Ip ratings to allow for driving through light rain and so forth, it is the same instance as to why a waterproof phone case's user manual would not recommend actively dropping your phone in water. I hope this analogy helps!

The scooter is able to make its top speed and going up a hill without any trouble whatsoever and I am a heavy guy (100kg+) I can say it is VERY durable as I had an accident on mine and NOTHING was wrong apart from a loose bolt that I didn’t know was there. If you’re thinking about getting one, just do it as they are such fun to ride. Not only are they quick, but also safe with a super bright front LED, but also a bright brake light, and side lights as well.
