10x10 Del Ray Gazebo Canopy Charcoal Frame Tan Cover Reviews

2.8 Rating 10 Reviews
What an amazing sun shade!!! I absolutely love it! We got lucky with our first one and it lasted through all kinds of weather including rain, then one day it started pooling and ripped. We got a new shade and it started pooling on day 1. I still love it, but am gonna need to start taking the cover off when there is any sign of rain…. Too bad, but still great value for the money I spent.

I love my shelter, but I’m having the same problem with water and this morning I decided to try putting a couple of grommets where the water pools so it they can run out. I wasn’t looking for it to be a rain shelter anyway. I bought it to shade from the sun. I’ll write another review and let you know how it goes.

Hi Kate, Thank you for your review. We're so glad to hear you’re enjoying your shelter overall! Water pooling can occasionally occur, and you're not alone in trying creative solutions. We typically recommend pushing pooled water out promptly to prevent stress on the cover, but adding grommets can be a helpful workaround, especially since you're using it primarily for sun protection. We’d love to hear how your modification works out, and we appreciate you planning to share a follow-up review. Thanks again for your feedback and for being part of our community! Best, The ShelterLogic Team.

We bought this on Father's day weekend and it went up very quickly, took my son and I about 30 minutes. Now like everyone else we realized it does not hold up in heavy rains, luckily we caught it before any damage could have happened. My question for Shelter Logic is do you have a solution to correct this issue that you can send out to customers. I think a good solution would be to put another metal tube in the center of the canopy to prevent sagging in the center thus not allowing any water to pool up.

Hi Harvey, Thank you for your honest 3-star review! We're glad that you found the setup process quick and easy with your son. We completely understand your concern about the canopy holding up in heavy rains. Please note that the water pooling on these canopies is common if there is a long steady amount of rain as there is a significant amount of space between the rafters, therefore, it would have to be manually removed by pushing off the water from the inside. Your suggestion about adding additional support to prevent sagging is valuable, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. We'll certainly take your feedback into consideration as we continuously strive to improve our products. If you have any other questions or wish to discuss this in more detail, please call 1-800-932-9344. Wishing you many enjoyable moments under your gazebo! Warm regards, The ShelterLogic Team

Beautiful canopy as with others mine ripped the first weekend I had it up due to rain pooling up. I'm very sad as it looks great next to my pool.

Works well in the wind , but not so good with rain. the water pooled in the middle and then ripped it down a couple of weeks after it was installed. The design should be reviewed for a solution. maybe grommet holes to let water out. ?

As in other reviews, it sags terribly when it rains. I’m currently working on better rigging to prevent the sag but may be fighting a losing battle.

Hello, We are awfully sorry to hear about this! Please note the Gazebo is a temporary structure and is designed primarily for seasonal shade; hence offers protection from damage caused by the sun, tree sap, and bird excrement. Also, it is recommended that the Canopy cover be removed, or the canopy is stored away when not being used if there is inclement weather in the forecast. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you, Customer Service

I had put this up this spring in anticipation of usage in the summer and after a few rainy days it has completely ripped apart. The design did not consider drainage and water pools and bellies in the middle creating excess weight that it cannot sustain. Had I known this in advance or read some of the reviews that are stating the same thing I would have punctered a grommet or raised one of the poles to accommodate for this flaw. I have had this in storage for 3 years and just put it up so it's out of warranty and nothing I can do.

I love the design and it held up pretty well to winds and such. However, it does not hold up well at all to heavy rain. The design should have allowed the rain to run off, but instead it pooled in the middle and I had to keep going out to push up on where the water collected to drain it off. We had an exceptionally large rainfall a month or two ago which caused the water to collect at a faster rate than I could drain it, which eventually caused 3 of the 4 sides of the cover to separate from the edges, destroying the cover. When I went to check the tag for the reorder number, it only shows "80". I believe it is supposed to have more numbers on it. It is a shame it didn't hold up well because I love the design of the canopy and the way it covers the area. I would still recommend it but be wary if it rains a lot.
