“Bought to replace a 8x8 pop up canopy that I can no longer find waterproof tops to fit it. Most all new fabric style tops will leak in heavy rain and wind. Have set this up three times and have got it down to 20 up/20 down by myself. Overall good quality parts and pieces for the price I paid. When mine arrived two of the 3-way connectors were ever so slightly not bent as much as the other four making the leg angles a little off. The reason I am writing this review however is because Bill Huff from their support team asked me to send some pics of my issues with the compact canopy and within 5 business days I had three new pieces arrive at my door step. That is what will make Shelterlogic my go to for temporary shelters and the reason my friends and family will be buying these as well.”
“This max canope works so much better than the pop up ones that keep getting broken ribs with the wind especially at the base of Lake George.Ease of setuo and breakdown If you plan on keeping it up you need to put screws in the junctions”
“This is my second canopy. The first provided shade for my patio. This one, for my deck. Both were easy to assemble, and are much more substantial than the normal pop up canopies. Also has the added advantage of being able to purchase replacement canvas. I did pop rivet the joints for added stability.”
“An earlier version of the canopy served well as a shelter for our teardrop trailer for almost 2 years. I had to buy another whole canopy, frame and cover, after an unexpected snowfall tore the canopy cover while we were away. It would have been nice to be able to buy the cover separately, since the metal frame was still in fine shape. Now I have an extra frame that I'll just give away.”
“I've had this shelter up for over five years straight and it has withstood all the elements rain, snow, ice, windstorms, and blazing heat. It's been fliped twice because i didn't have enough weight holding it down. I've not taken it down, it is up year round and i've just ordered a new top for it; the original top has a few tears and if it tears this winter I'll need a replace. Great shelter for the price!”
