“Take the tarp off when it snows.the weight of wet snow collapsed the structure. We usually don’t have snow so it was only intended as a rain and sun shelter which job it performed perfectly.suggest that you provide options for tarp colours ie forest green, mid brown so it blends with natural surroundings.”
“The canopy was doing really well for several months until it started raining. Then 2 of the sections of the "roof" started to fill with water making little pools in the canopy. After one night of heavy rain, I went out to find that the entire roof had collapsed on my car, denting the roof and cracking my windshield. I had thought about putting a couple of holes in the small pooled water before the heavy rain but I didn't. Had I done that, I would still have the canopy now, albeit with 2 holes in the canopy. But I'd much rather have the holes for rain to come through than to have a worthless, collapsed structure that I have now.”
Hello,
We are very sorry to hear this! As mentioned in your manual, this shelter offers protection from damage caused by the sun, light rain, tree sap, and animal-bird excrement. This canopy is not live load rated and the cover should be removed during moderate to heavy rain, windy, or snowy conditions. If you have any other concerns or would like to discuss your options, please feel free to call us at 1-800-932-9344.
Thank you, Customer Service
“Just install the canopy by myself, took me 2 hours to assemble and 4 hours to drill into the concrete for each leg tubing. I did had to ask help to lift it up. I had to add self tap screws on the top tubing, middle and bottom for wind support, screws was not included.”
“This product does require some work to put together, but the frame is sturdy for the price so I felt the work worth the effort. Easy to understand instructions and we received all the parts. Once you get the frame together the rest is easy. We had to drill a hole in the upright pipe at the bottom because the floor caps would fall off. There was a hole in the cap for a screw to go in but not in the pipe. We also had so redrill a few holes for screws that did not line up, although that may have been our fault. I like the look, wish it came in a bit larger size.”
“Directions were well laud out. Don’t try to do it alone, and pay close attention.
Once up it covers my Jeep perfectly, so I can leave the doors off. I tied it down with cord and it hasn’t budged. Rain runs off without pooling.”
