Shed-in-a-Box® 6 ft. x 6 ft. x 6 ft. Gray Reviews

3.8 Rating 34 Reviews
Bought this yesterday. Took a little over 2 hours to put up and that was after finding a video of how to do it because the directions do not help at all. Checked everything prior to installing. Just about finished and then we see the zipper was broken and we couldn't get that fixed, next the holes where you thread the rope to have door open were not even lined up so that was useless. Took the thing down and returned it. Will find something else with less problems to use for our yard.

This may seem a little unusual, but I converted my unit into a humidity controlled spray booth for finishing guitars with waterborne lacquer. My finish requires 45% to 60% relative humidity for application, and typically here in New Mexico, I see less than 30% RH. I put a humidifier in the shed, and cut a hole for an exhaust fan. Sure, it voids my warranty, but worth it ! This shed/booth sits in my garage, is well built and sturdy, and I would not hesitate to use as a storage unit outside, even with the high winds we get here. The anchors are solid.

I got it fall of 2015. I was able to put all my out door stuff in it. We got rain first then we got 41" of snow over the weekend. It held up and kept every thing dry. Outstanding

The price was great. The quickness that I received the product was good the only problem I have is the same as some other reviews I read is the instructions for setting up this shed is that you only have pictures and not very well defined at that also with no wording it is difficult to understand what is to be done some of them does not make sense. I have yet to finish setting this up because I do not have the suggested persons available to help.

Great for what I needed it for. TERRIBLE on the directions. Numbers on parts not clear, took 4 hours to put together with 2 guys.

During assembly, one of the ratchets fell apart. We were tightening the opposite ratchet and the one just sprung apart all over the place. I had a group here helping so I wasn't going to wait on a replacement, forcing us to 'rig' it together. It took a total of 5 hours with 3 people to put together. Besides the broken ratchet, if I had one suggestion it would be instructions need to be supplemented with words. The pictures actually do follow the steps but there is so much 'guessing' that would have reduced the time had a few words supplemented the picture.. IE: give a reason why the back wall doesn't have a bar to go through the bottom as the sides do, even though it has a similar 'hem' to accommodate a pole also? Or, "the main tarp is supposed to have 6" loosely hanging over the front and back and will eventually wrap around the whole unit once ratcheted". Or "No, the zippers are not broke. We purposely split the zipper open part way up (looking like the zipper broke midstream) for shipping purposes. And yes, each zipper is folded under and stitched closed at the bottom. You must break this apart." Each step could have had a short paragraph explaining the step. Assembling with pictures-only was very time-consuming. Last, with the broken, 'rigged' ratchet now holding one end, I will be unable to adjust that corner. I'd imagine that will reduce the integrity of the whole unit and reduce the life expectancy.

I am using this over my bulkhead to create an entryway and it does an excellent job! I am so happy because for years I've tried to get the carpenter in my family to build something for me but no luck. The product is made of strong, sturdy material, I put it together with my friend and it is the perfect fit, size and gets the job done. Now my tenant has shelter from the elements when entering and exiting her basement studio apartment. It adds such a finished look and an element of privacy and is charming actually with the motion sensor light I was able to include in the space. It is the perfect size for a standard bulkhead. My carpenter is off the hook permanently! I would recommend this over and over again.

I wrote this letter on February 28, 2014 "As I stated on the phone I simply wanted to share my story of a “Shed-in-a-box” that I purchased approximately 4 years ago. It was purchased as a “temporary” expedient until I could build a permanent shed. Well, after 4 years of ice, snow, wind, heavy rain storms and the sun of a southern Indiana summer, it just keeps hanging in there. It has endured two different tears from falling branches that were duct taped over 2 years ago. In other words this product redefines the term, temporary. I do plan on retiring the shed this spring, but instead of buying a more permanent structure, I plan on buying another Shelter Logic shed (maybe bigger). “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. My thanks for a quality product that far exceeds all my expectations. This shed’s longevity, and my desire to replace it with the very same product, is a testament to the quality Shelter Logic builds into their products. " That was 2 1/2 years ago. I haven't retired this yet.
