“The first thing of course is that the frame is plumb and secured with the anchors. Once that is done, one person can install the new covers. It is easier with two. I take chemo so the energy isn't what it used to be, but doing the covers goes quite well, and they are of good quality. The one area you want to be aware of and exercise caution, is extending the straps that tie the covers to the frame. If they rise inside their channel by accident, you can snag them carefully with a coat hanger bent to slide up inside and retrieve them. Other than that, it is a pretty straightforward installation. I plan to stay with Shelter Logic for my carport needs as I feel they have improved their product over the years. I live in western Montana, and the carport weathers well.”

“I bought the replacement cover for this because the original cover ripped within 2 years of buying it. The replacement cover got destroyed in less than a year by some high winds and the AZ sun I'm assuming. Trying to find a hard top carport or garage now.”

The standard cover does include a one-year limited warranty, and if anything goes wrong within that time frame, we strongly suggest submitting a claim. Please know that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds and snow (if applicable), it can also affect longevity. We do offer replacement cover kits in Standard, Heavy-Duty, and Ultra-Duty material. The heavier materials have a longer warranty and life expectancy, which might better suit your needs.
