“I bought this to treat tennis elbow, even though I haven't played tennis in ages. It's more like Hammer Elbow, but if I say that I get that song stuck in my head and feel the urge to dig out my genie pants from the the 90's bin in the attic. Stop. Hammer Elbow.Anyway, the cuff fits true to size and has a nice heft to it. My two problems with it are that a.) it starts out very cold, and not localized -- so my entire bicep and part of my forearm get almost painfully cold, including that part where the 'ol median cubital vein runs under, so really your whole body starts to cool down tutte-suite. So maybe it's good for that. Secondly, and somewhat conversely (forget the Hammer Pants, I wonder if I can still pull off my old look of wearing red low-top Chuck Taylor's with no socks -- more on that later), you only get about 15 minutes of cooling out of this before you need to send it back to the freezer. So it's not ideal in that respect. I plan on keeping it. When my 'tennis' elbow stops being too legit to quit, maybe I'll use it as a specialized pork loin cooling apparatus and add it to my picnic arsenal (this statement has not been evaluated by the FDA).”
“Just slide it on, and that's it!!! I love that I don't have to prop up my arm or leg when using this ice sleeve. I like to ice my elbow at night and I can just slide this on, and set a timer. NO more leaky bags of ice or using frozen vegetables!”
“This is easy to use, can be individually sized, can be used with heat or cold. I liked the knee/elbow sleeve. Even used it as a compress on my jaw when wisdom tooth was pulled. Much better than a pain pill.”
“I've used the TheraICE sleeve a few times now both from the freezer and a heated in the microwave as well. It is easy to slip on and provides relief for my achy knee after a long walk. The cold lasts effectively for about 15 minutes (but that's the usual recommended period anyway). After that it's somewhat cold, but not very effective. In terms of the heat, it works nicely as well, although it needs a lot more time in the microwave as opposed to the printed instructions. The best part is the ease of use, just take it from the freezer or microwave and slip it on.”
“Love this! It feels so good on my arm treating my tennis elbow. It provides light compression and remains cold for about 15minutes. I have not used it warm yet, but that is an option.”
“I got a medium and wished I'd gotten the small. This works well just for sitting in a chair because I can hold still. If you walk around with one that's too large, it will slide down your arm.”
“Great way to ice the elbows. Imagine it would be good for knees too in a larger side. Doesn't stay ice cold long enough to ice both elbows after a heavy lifting session tho.”
