Thank you so much for the recommendation, Jason! :) Fort Belvedere is proud to source only the finest Egyptian cotton, with an emphasis on long-staple fibers that ensure the greatest possible durability, comfort, and pill resistance. Superior materials lengthen the lifespan of the socks and will let you enjoy them for even longer.

The socks stay up surprisingly well (I must admit I didn't think they could do that, but would slip down, but they simply don't). The colour scheme is my favourite among the socks I bought.

I got my first pair free with a Christmas order of gloves. These socks are the best. I have small feet and dep’t store socks never fit right. These are the best fitting socks I have ever owned. Not only that, they are the most elegant looking socks I have ever owned. I am more than delighted! I had to order three more pair!

i first bought these socks in February of 2020. Since then i have purchased five pairs of this exact sock and seven pairs of other colors. i wanted to wait a good amount of time before writing this review. Simply put, these are the flimsiest $40 socks i've ever purchased. They are prone to running not only in the toe but toward the elastic that comprises the "cuff." Sometimes these runs occurred after the first wearing. What's so disappointing is that these are the coolest socks i've ever owned. They're conversation starters, people often remark how interesting they are. Wearing them sets my feet apart from the others on the city streets. But they are NOT sturdy, not in the least. Don't know what the life expectancy of them is but i don't see them lasting more than a couple of years and i regularly rotate them. If you can buy six or seven pairs of $40 socks every year, these are your socks. Otherwise you may want to look for a sock/men's hose that can withstand more than one or two wearings.

Dear Topher, Thanks for being a customer and sorry to see these issues. 1. Life expectancy. These are fine dress socks, and in order to get the two-tone effect, they have to be thin. Considering their thinness, they last longer than other socks that would be as thin but made of inferior, shorter staple length cotton. We have these socks lab tested and they withstood resisted to 4,000/4,500 abrasive revolutions. Depending on the shoes, and the feet of the wearer and how much they walk, I would expect them to last about 1.5-3 years. If you want a pair of socks that lasts long, you have to buy other socks. But they will undoubtedly not wear as comfortable as these socks, and they will not be as cool looking as you say. We made a video about this here https://www.gentlemansgazette.com/4vs40-socks-better-value/ 2. We typically only see the runs on top if the labels are ripped off. We even made a video on how to remove the labels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Unzegs2w0n4 3. If you have a pair of socks that wears out prematurely, we are happy to replace them. 4. The cost for 1 pair is $40. If you buy more, as you did, you are getting a discount. In your case it was $31.11 a pair. Yes, that is still quite a bit for a pair of socks, but we also use really good cotton, and remember they have to be thin in order to work. 5. We want our customers to be happy and we stand behind our product. Let me know how we can make you happy.

Bought several pairs some months ago and have now had the opportunity to wear these dress socks. These are for dress only in my opinion and not for daily wear. The fit, comfort and style cannot be underestimated. I have Falke Oxford and other brand over the calf socks I wear to work these are superior with the cotton and hand finished toe. Absolutely no pressure points as with machine finished toe areas can often get. I would not hesitate to buy again.

These socks don’t shrink nearly as much as stated in video. As a result, the five pairs of size medium I purchased are loose and look sloppy. The video claim that you’re better off buying these $40 socks rather a $4 pair is patently false. Mine were unwearable. Four dollar socks would have been the wise purchase.
