“I've received a small tear in both of mine from washing at 30C on a normal cycle with detergent. I do them like though so going to order another pair and keep them for formal events and only wash on cold/gentle cycle like I would with pure silk. The other Gentlemen's Gazette socks (wool blends) are still doing very good at constant normal wash cycles even after over a year of use, but these seem to be more delicate”

“I ordered the small size of these fine socks. Normally, the heel is a bit high for me. However, Fort Belvedere seems to do an excellent job with foot sizing, and the toe and heel fit perfectly for me. Excellent quality. Thank you!”

“I have worn them a couple of times now, and what I really like about these socks - aside from their luxurious feel - is their sturdyness. They do not wear as quickly as other over-the-calf-socks and keep their form event hroughout the day. The feeling of wearing silk socks is really something special and I would recommend these as a staple to anyone!”

“Every store-bought pair of socks out there fits below the calf and sags after a few minutes without fail. These are the first socks I've ever owned that don't do that, thanks to fitting snugly over the calf of your legs. The socks are very light and thin, so you're hardly aware of them when wearing. Also note that this might affect how well your feet fit in shoes you're used to wearing with thicker cotton socks. Fitting your feet into shoes is also easy thanks to the slickness of the silk. The socks are very well ventilated and won't leave your feet sweaty after a whole night of wearing them. I highly recommend these socks for anyone looking to create a black or white tie wardrobe or just want something that works with their more everyday black oxfords.”

“These socks are expensive but also amazing. Stay up, breath and just totally comfortable. So good after I received my first pair and tried them on I ordered 3 more. Only thing could have been better was a guide to what size you should order based on your shoe size, I am a 10.5. (Or if that chart was on the website I missed it). I ordered an XL sock because I wear XL shirts and XL undies so I figured that was right. As it turns out the socks were a bit big with the heel ending up more on my achillies. So I've ordered three pairs of Large. Fingers crossed.”
