“I have bought multiple pairs of socks from Fort Belvedere, they have always been of the highest quality. I got the mid brown and green as a change of pace to pair with a new pair of brown suede shoes I got. They worked perfectly with the shoes and a new pair of trousers. I highly recommend these to anyone wanting to upgrade or enhance their dress sock collection.”

“I was looking to upgrade my increasingly deteriorating sock situation and had been fruitlessly searching for a quality sock online and in my local brick & mortar stores. I knew that acquiring another readily available '4-pack' of the standard 'one-size fits all' sock would merely exasperate my frustration. Having recently discovered the Gentleman's Gazette, I felt confident that they would offer a quality product. I was right! The socks are soft, cool and have excellent breathability. These actually fit my foot! And, because they are over-the-calf, the throat of the sock doesn't creep down on my leg thereby allowing my foot to sit comfortably in the sock's 'foot box'. And best of all, I get compliments on my socks every time I wear them. I wear all of my trousers with an inseam that touches, but does not break at the shoe. So, while walking and sitting, these beautiful socks are on full display. To be honest, I didn't think I'd ever spend $40 for a single pair of socks. However, the quality, fit, feel and design is well worth it! I currently have 4 pair of the socks and a pair of the driving gloves. Next up is a scarf and pocket square.”

Although one can occasionally find argyle-type anklet socks that mix these colors, it is rare to find fine dress hose in an over-the-calf length that can be worn with more formal apparel. Not only does this pair of socks meet that requirement, but their manufacture and feel are of the highest order. I just keep ordering new pairs in different color combinations. Besides being distinctive, they are comfortable and hold up well on wearing.”

“At first, I hesitated because of the shock of the price. These socks are unlike anything most people have experienced and I can see that for someone who hasn't actually worn them, rationalization can be the only justification for spending this much 'just for socks.' I was there. I get it. All I can say is, when you find yourself placing another order, you will realize that rationalization isn't in the equation, how you feel when wearing them is the driving force.”
