“I have purchased this wallet for 285$ plus taxes here in Belgium 59$, in total 344$. I have high expectations in a wallet for this amount of money! The stitches are breaking, fading colour and loosing shape it’s not ok for a top quality product!! I take good care of my belongings especially when I pay a good amount of money for them. Fort Belvedere and gentlemen gazette advertise this to be a top quality product!! I’ve said to myself that maybe it’s a production mistake and the stitches were not as they should be and I’ll get in touch with the costumer service to send it back to be fixed, yes after you pay 344$ you expect to have this service!! Well after I got in touch with costumer service I have received this answer: “ Leather is a natural material that is flexible and naturally develops stains, loose stitches, or frays, especially after using it for a long time.” Really?!? After I’ve spent 344$ and I’ve asked to send it back to be fixed!! Not reimbursed, just fixed!! My experience with this wallet left me no choice but to leave my opinion here because I’m so upset and frustrated of your service and product that it needed to be said! What have started as a joy when I’ve received it and recommended to everyone I’ve known, end’s with a bitter taste of disappointment. I will attach some pictures for other future costumers to see what they get in to. Thanks for nothing Gentlemen gazette and fort belvedere!!!”

“I do not recommend this wallet! The quality is not as advertised. I have purchased this wallet for 285$ and payed extra taxes since I live in Belgium another 56.36 euros(59.42$)., for this money I have the expectations high!! The stitches are broken on the corner after the first year and I don’t find it normal. Have reached to costumer service and this is the answer that I’ve received: “ Leather is a natural material that is flexible and naturally develops stains, loose stitches, or frays, especially after using it for a long time. ” Seriously?!? After I’ve payed 344 $ !!!!!!! All I wanted was to send it back and fix it!!! If anyone is willing to pay this kind of money for your product Gentleman Gazette I think they need to know this side of the story and be prepared for the reality. I will attach some pictures for you people to see it and have your own view of this “amazing” wallet!!”

“I usually use a wallet until it falls apart. When my last one did, I purchased a new one from Fort Belvedere. I did have my eye on it for sometime. First, I love the colors, the deep burgundy really compliments the contrasting turquoise. It's not big, which is what I like. The leather is soft so don't notice it in your back pocket and it has enough pockets for all my cards and personal papers.”

“I have to say this wallet is stunning in person. When I bring it out to pay when I'm around friends/family I have people comment on it. The quality is impressive with the folded in corners with careful detail noted to the stitching around the sides.”

“I bought this Fort Belvedere wallet about 3-4 years ago. At that time I was scared to death to spend over $200 on a wallet. That said, I had HAD it, with cheaper leather wallets that seemed to either fall apart way too quickly..or just really never looked or FELT very good from the start. Long story short I bought this beautiful wallet and EVERY day to this day, 3-4 years later I am amazed at how good it still looks and it's just a beautiful EXTREMELY well made wallet. It is holding up so well haha, I wish it would start to show some wear so I could justify getting a new Fort Belvedere wallet... I'd either buy this same style again, or maybe try the box calf wallet. Nobody asked me to write a review!...I just happened to come by the Fort Belvedere site to look around, and wanted to share how I truly LOVE, LOVE this wallet. The quality is off the charts...it's worth every penny! it's 10 times better than any wallet I have ever owned even a Brooks Bros wallet. 5 stars PLUS!”
