Cognac Brown Men's Dress Leather Gloves with Button w/ Cashmere lining. These are wonderfully soft and comfortable and are my second pair of gloves from Fort Belvedere. I did purchase Petrol Blue Men's Gloves with Button in Lamb Nappa Leather w/ Cashmere lining as a “self-gift” from Santa last December. Those I wore every day and especially when driving. The steering wheel never felt better on sub-teen degree weather days in North Eastern PA. For both gloves, the initial fit was a bit firm, and fingers felt long… however, that lasted perhaps a few days and then they took shape and fit perfectly “like a glove”! Exceptionally soft! They were warm and comfortable enough for me to walk 30 minutes to class in cold weather. They look remarkably sharp and complement my topcoat. I ordered a second pair months later, the Cognac Brown ones, to give variety and alternate gloves. I do wear gloves often, every time driving and wearing appropriate fall/winter coats. I like gloves. These are stunningly beautiful in color and material/stitching, perfect fit now after a very short break in period, and both have received complements! The one Concern: How long will the cashmere lining last inside the gloves? I wear both pairs as mentioned when driving and outside when walking to class or the dogs. So, no physical exertion– meaning my hands are not perspiring inside the gloves. Yet, having never owned/worn cashmere lined gloves, the longevity is to be seen, as well as the luxuriously soft Napa leather. My leather work gloves (GI issue, Wells Lamont, and Mechanix) have taken an abusive beating and lasted for years. Different leather and different jobs. The one Con: I have to date been unable to master the buttoning of the button! Cannot button the button with the glove on, nor unbutton it while wearing the glove. I imagine the buttonhole would stretch/give a bit over time, but I not able to master it. I do take my gloves off to shake another person’s hand, and in this case with the button fastened, I could not remove the glove in an appropriately timed manner! So, I wear them unbuttoned, or as they say: “…. nonchalantly unbuttoned, with a touch of sprezzatura.” I do like the look of the leather button and I just tolerate it as it is. I may try next year unlined Peccary gloves….. In summary: Excellent looking, exceptionally comfortable, handsome men’s gloves!

Oh, wow! Thank you so much for this very detailed feedback about our gloves, Douglas. We're extremely happy to hear that you love both the Cognac and the Petrol gloves you bought from us. We use high-quality cashmere lining which should last for years, depending on usage, of course. :) If you have any questions or if we can help with anything, feel free to send us a message and we'll be happy to help! Thank you for your trust and support.

I can see why everyone raves about these gloves, the leather, fit, feel, and construction are the best I've ever seen, there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Although, I will say measure your hands, alpha size and numerical size aren't the same. I assumed my size was 10 because I wear XL gloves for the finger length, but I measure a 9, so don't skip that step. Department store gloves tend to have short fingers and wide palms.

1 My problem was I couldn't find the right type of gloves for me, many of the others were either really expensive, low quality or not the right style. 2 Compared to my other gloves, these ones kept me much more warmer in the cold. 3 People give compliments for them and I think they were all around worth it!
