“This is my first cleanse and I’ve been skeptical of managing all the prep for a vegan diet. But after a season of chocolate (so much chocolate) and holiday treats I was feeling bad enough that I was ready to jump in to the cleanse. There was a lot of prep, I’m not going to lie. I shopped on Sunday and prepped the nuts, tonic, and cashew cream. For everything else I opted for an early morning rise and one hour in the kitchen. Each morning to ready the days meals.
This cleanse was completely transformational for me! By day three I felt noticeably more energetic, mentally clearer, and physically lighter. I saw an immediate correlation between what I ate and how I felt. I noticed that stress made me crave sugar even though I wasn’t the least bit hungry. Some days I couldn’t even eat all the food on the menu. I was always full and didn’t crave junk.
I’ve kept up many of the meals for three weeks now, even after traveling to another state to help my mom post hospitalization.
