“I went against everything I thought about meal replacement shakes and tried the Man Shake.
I’m 71 and had an illness that piled the weight on through meds.
Well, I’m here to tell you that I’ve lost 14kgs over a period of about 5 months. You may think that’s slow, but that’s how I want to lose it. I’ve always struggled with my weight over the years and have tried everything the weight loss industry has offered.
Initially, due to my apprehension, I bought a variety pack from the supermarket and have continued with that. The individual savers are really convenient.
As I’m retired, life’s not as physically demanding plus I can’t do much formal exercise due to my condition. So, I only have one Shake in the morning around 9 - 9:30, then 2or 3 pieces of fruit at 1 or 2, the my normal meal at night. I’m not a beer drinker so I believe that helps, but not judging.
Yes, I do break out every so often, but that helps with my focus not to get bored on the program.
I have one criticism. The shakes do not completely dissolve.
All in all, I’m very happy with my result so far and look forward to getting rid of the next 16kgs.”
“I have to tell you I am not impressed. I opened the Choc meal replacement yesterday. I had 2 shakes - morning and night. Firstly, so much powder flies up in the air every time I open the bag - half the kitchen was covered in dust. I must be breathing all that in too! Never known a powder to be so light & fly all over the place. The first taste - so chemically. The artificial sweetener is awful & doesn't taste "full-bodied". And it leaves the most horrid aftertaste. The shakes are also soooooo thick, it is like drinking really thick custard or gravy. Everybody loves a thick milkshake....but this is way too thick. And the choc taste is also not "full-bodied" - it is a very watery choc flavour. For the 2nd shake later that night, I added a fraction more water so it wasn't so thick, but that just made it taste even more watery, even though the consistency was still like really thick gravy/custard. The choc aftertaste was revolting along with the artificial sweetener. I did try a Choc Berry protein bar & that was amazing - really like those. But I dunno if/how I will get through 4 bags of shakes twice a day. Blergh! I'm curious to try the other flavours, but if the consistency is going to be so chokingly thick, with hideous flavours and the revolting aftertaste, I am very hesitant to open anything else. I might go back to Herbalife products. They are expensive, but they taste amazing & they work! I'd rather support an Aussie company too....but I'm not a fan of The Man Shake. And as much as I love to reduce impact on the environment, I dislike the soft plastic packets of powder. I prefer a hard plastic powder bottle - even if they cost a tad more. I would be happy to get REFILLS in soft plastic (for a lower price)....although soft plastics CANNOT be recycled right now. I assume hard plastic bottles would be recycled. Protein bars come recommended. The Man Shake does not!”
“Tried it a few months ago, was the wrong time for me. I thought they didn’t taste as nice.
Invested in myself to give it another go and am having the best time. They taste great and I’m loosing weight. 21kg down and I’m learning heaps to maintain myself at my goals. Thanks for changing my life!”
“Into my second pack and to date I am wrapped with the result, I have gone from 126kg down to 105kg in just two packs with a 6-week break between packs.”
“A month worth of shakes is reasonably priced and compared to the alternative greasy rubbish I would be wasting my money on. It works I was 148 10 months ago I am now dancing around 115- 120”
