Brendan, SlumberPod is tested and approved for indoor climate controlled areas only. It should be used in a well ventilated area and is only known to get 1-2 degrees warmer inside. The fan is meant to circulate the cool air that is already there vs making new air to blow.

We always had a fan facing the pod when in use. Now, the fan accessory is the perfect solution! Both of our kids now have their own pods and we are ready to use a toddler mattress inside one of our pods. This makes traveling so much more convenient!”
