SlumberPod_Test Black with Gray Accents Reviews

We used this on a recent trip to visit family because my 5-month-old needs dark conditions in order to sleep well. It definitely did its job, creating a very dark environment for our baby to sleep soundly away from home. This product is very high quality -- the material is soft yet breathable, the zipper is quiet, and there is great attention to detail. For example, I love how the bottom of the tent can be easily lifted to place a small fan outside the travel crib, which I did for peace of mind to ensure even more air flow inside the Pod. The Slumberpod worked perfectly with our Guava Lotus Travel Crib, with plenty of space above and on the sides of the crib. I will say the Slumberpod is a bit more difficult to put together than I assumed based on all the reviews of how easy it is. I highly recommend watching a couple different videos before attempting your first assembly, especially if you're doing it by yourself. It feels very easy to put together now that we've done it a few times, but I highly recommend setting it up WELL before bedtime to alleviate stress. The only other challenging thing for us is the inability to use our baby monitor in the monitor pocket. We would have needed an extension cord to keep our camera plugged in because the pocket is near the top of the Slumberpod (which is necessary). Not a deal-breaker by any means, but something to keep in mind if video monitoring is important to you. Overall, we loved this product and are glad we bought it so we'll have it on hand for future travels.

This is such an amazing blackout pod. I set it up and went in it myself to test it out and it works great! I will definitely be using it with the fan on all summer for my new baby once he turns 4 months!

The SlumberPod worked SO well for traveling and needing to sleep in the same room as our 10mo - she slept great! We used over a Baby Bjorn Easy Go Travel Crib and it fit over with no issues, there was room between the SlumberPod and the crib on all sides. We did not need to use the fan, the temp stayed comfortable and similar to the ambient room temp. Love that there is a pocket for the monitor camera. This gave me a lot of peace of mind. Only critique with that is that the camera for our infant optics monitor is round and it was a little hard to adjust. I found it easier to reposition the camera with my hand in the pocket than to use the up/down/side to side functions on the receiver. Over all a really great product.

I was hesitant to spend $150 on a tent for the baby. But I am currently at the beach and my child had been asleep for 1.5+ hours. He has slept through the night since the second night and is napping like a dream. We are also sharing a room with him and can have the lights on and live our normal lives after he goes to bed. I am a full believer. I don’t think the trip would be this easy without this contraption. And yes I am sure there are cheaper options out there. But this one is easy. And I am willing to pay for easy.

Debating whether or not to return. I loved the concept of this, but with these hot summer days, I felt that this was not letting enough air flow into the tent for my baby. I had my a/c turned up and laid in the pack n play myself to see how it would feel and it was too warm and no fresh air. I am not comfortable with my baby sleeping in it so we ended up not using it and blacking out all of the windows instead.
